The Work
Our Digital Modernization Division is an information technology and management consulting department that offers integrated, strategic solutions to its public and private-sector clients. ICF has the expertise, agility, and commitment to design, build, and operate high-performance IT engines to support all aspects of our client's business.
We are seeking an experienced Lead Pega Developer to lead the design, development, and implementation of Pega-based solutions for government survey programs. This role involves collaborating with stakeholders, ensuring compliance with federal standards, and delivering high-quality applications that streamline survey processes.
Job Location: Remote work is authorized. Must support US Eastern time zone working hours.

What You Will Do:
Lead the design and development of Pega applications for survey management and data collection
Translate business requirements into scalable Pega solutions aligned with government standards
Oversee application architecture, integration, and performance optimization.
Collaborate with business analysts, QA teams, and project managers to ensure timely delivery
Mentor junior developers and enforce best practices in Pega development.
Support deployment, troubleshooting, and enhancements in production environments
Ensure compliance with security, accessibility, and data privacy regulations
What You Will Bring With You:

Highschool degree with at least 10 years in a leadership or technical lead role
6+ years of experience with Pega PRPC, including system architecture, design, and development
What We Would Like You To Bring With You:
Pega Certified Senior System Architect (CSSA) or higher
Strong understanding of Pega PRPC architecture, case management, and integration
Familiarity with DevOps tools (e.g., Jenkins, Git, Maven) in a Pega context.
Knowledge of cloud-based deployments (e.g., Pega Cloud, AWS, Azure)
Exposure to Java, RDBMS, or other complementary technologies
Experience working on a project using the Scaled Agile Framework
Experience in a software development team building modern software products.
Solid understanding of Agile methodologies and SDLC best practices
Experience working in large enterprise environments or on government contracts
Docker experience and/or an understanding of containerization

Experience with cloud SDKs, such as Boto3 for AWS.
What Would Be Nice To Have:
Familiarity with agentic AI frameworks such as AWS Strands Agents, PydanticAI, etc.
Advanced prompt engineering skills for complex tasks beyond code generation.
Experience with asynchronous Python development.
Experience with MCP servers and tool calling within agentic workflows.
Knowledge of GPU-accelerated computing (CUDA) and hardware optimization for running ML models efficiently.
