Position/Job Description: General Tasking Description: * Responsible with the overall planning, direction and success of major programs, systems development efforts. * Lead a large, multi-year effort divided into several sub-programs/tasks. * Establish and control technical milestones, schedules, budgets and costs. * Provide program and project management services including: * Program Planning and control * Resource Management * Risk Management * Rough Order of Magnitude (ROM) development * Financial management, Earned Value Management (EVM), trend analysis, expenditures and expenditures forecasting. * Budgeting and Cost Management. * Schedule Management. * Performance monitoring and reporting * Documentation preparation and transmittal * Quality control * Establish effective communication channels with the Procuring Contracting Officer, Contract Specialist, and Contracting Officer's Representative (COR) and conduct biweekly contract status meetings covering contract extension, identified performance risks and issues, and the contractor's mitigation/corrective actions. * Work with company leadership to ensure overall contract success. We are headquartered in Virginia Beach, VA. We are seeking a Junior Systems Engineer to support our Navy customer in Port Hueneme, CA. Security Clearance: * Applicants must be eligible to hold an active Department of Defense (DoD) SECRET personnel security clearance. Position/Job Description: General Tasking Description: * Assist in providing support, maintenance, and a range of engineering, industrial, and technical services for combat system equipment. This includes operational efficiency, conducting repairs and upgrades, and providing technical assistance and user training. * Support ship pre-checks, post-checks, and testing, including removal/relocation and fleet modernization requirements. This involves assisting in equipment relocation, upgrading systems for modernization, conducting thorough checks before and after operations, and providing support during test activities. * Assist in reviewing, updating, and providing feedback on new construction and modernization-related documents, Ship Installation Drawings (SIDs), installation plans, and installation requirements Manuals. This includes providing comments, recommendations, and assessments on material, support, and manpower requirements to ensure accuracy and effectiveness in the modernization process. * Review and help develop fleet modernization requirements for installation drawings, site surveys, detailed ship checks, and master material lists. Experience Requirements: * 3 years of providing Combat Systems support to a US Navy program or ship. Educational & Certification Requirements: * A bachelor's degree in any Engineering field EOE/M/F/ Disability/Vet/ VEVRAA Federal Contractor
