    + I&O Network Services part of Client's Global Enterprise IT Organisation is looking to recruit a Firewall Engineer focused on the Palo Alto Platform. + I&O Network Services design and operate our Wide Area Network, External Connectivity, Wireless and Data Switching environments. Over the past few years, the number of Firewalls we maintain, and associated rulesets has continued grow, particularly cloud and internal segmentation. Merger and acquisition activity is also driving the requirement of a dedicated firewall engineer. + This role will be focused on ensuring all our firewalls are operationally maintained to a standard and rulesets are aligned to support a divestiture project, operationally. This includes understanding the interactions between the core network, data center, and cloud firewalls and the underlying connectivity back into Client. **Principle Functional Responsibilties** + Works on project related efforts to implement ruleset changes and configurations in relation to our firewall environment in conjunction with a dedicated divestiture effort. + Cloud firewall experience will be necessary to support the build of new virtual firewalls in a cloud service provider and management platform. + Acts as a lead and subject matter expert for security technologies within the group as assigned to the project. + Acts as interface between Service Engineering and Service Operations ensuring the firewall environment is capacity planned and proactively monitored to maximize availability. + Interfaces with Security Operations and CIRT to integrate security relevant logs and information into our monitoring and detection platforms. + Drives security best practices, efficiency, and performance initiatives that improve and complement the existing security design in regard to firewall capabilities **Fourth Level Support** + Provides 4th level support to project escalations and drives these to resolution. + Works on chronic problems, determining root cause and remediation actions. **Education** + BA/BS in Information Systems or equivalent work experience **Experience** + Excellent Communication and Teamwork skills + Advanced English language skills (verbal, reading, writing, understanding) + Experience of working in a global environment essential + Process Discipline and Documentation skills essential + Minimum of five years' experience in the design, implementation, and operation of networks, including firewalling + Experience with cloud networking, in particular Azure, AWS, and OCI + Experience with Cisco VPN routers and connectivity to 3rd party vendor devices + Experience with an Enterprise Firewall Platform, Palo Alto preferred, Fortigate a plus + Experience with a Firewall Assessment Tool such as Firemon preferred but not essential + Experience with Service Now and its change management system preferred but not essential + Experience with SEIM tools, Splunk experience is preferred **About US Tech Solutions:** US Tech Solutions is a global staff augmentation firm providing a wide range of talent on-demand and total workforce solutions.
