Description: JOB SUMMARY: The Facility Maintenance I role performs a variety of activities involved in the operation and maintenance of the facility's ice, equipment, plumbing, mechanical and electrical systems, and general operations. This position is responsible for the successful delivery of all aspects of the ice events and maintenance services in order to guarantee a safe, clean facility. This position is not eligible for remote work. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: • Perform scheduled maintenance of equipment • Assist with general related maintenance of the building and site • Working events and changeover supervision crew • Demonstrates continuous effort to improve operations, decrease turnaround times, streamline work processes and work cooperatively to provide quality customer service • Must be able to add oil to compressors, drain chiller pot, change Zamboni blade, accurately manage and log ice plant readings • Knowledge of ice maintenance skills and installation ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES: • Responsible for completion of work orders assigned through management • Ensures facility readiness and smooth operation of events • Ensures a safe environment for all patrons and employees by following the life safety and emergency program • Implement and practice facility regulations, policies and procedures • Anticipate problems and appropriate solutions JOB QUALIFICATIONS: • High School Diploma or G.E.D • Willingness and desire to learn multiple areas of the sports and entertainment business • Working knowledge of electrical circuits, outlets, lighting and lighting ballasts • Basic knowledge of HVAC with ability to change filters belts, and bearings • Basic plumbing knowledge • Problem solving and troubleshooting skills • Ability to work with minimal supervision • Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook • Ability to work extended and/or irregular hours including nights, weekends and holidays Physical Demands and Working Environment While performing the duties of this job, the employee will be required to stand, walk, sit, use hands and fingers, handle large objects, tools, carts and drive machinery. Reach, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, climb, talk, and hear for up to 8-14 hours a day. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
