We strive to make both our internal and external communities better everyday!**Position Overview**The Executive Underwriter Excess Casualty will play a critical role in building ICW Specialty's Excess Casualty presence within the Excess & Surplus (E&S) marketplace. Focused exclusively on wholesale distribution, this underwriter will be responsible for developing and maintaining broker relationships, driving profitable growth, and underwriting complex casualty risks with precision and discipline. This individual will combine technical underwriting expertise with strong market presence, acting as both a production driver and trusted advisor to wholesale partners. Success will be measured by the ability to deliver profitable new business, maintain underwriting discipline, and strengthen ICW's reputation and competitive advantage as a reliable and innovative E&S Excess Casualty carrier.**Key Responsibilities*****Underwriting Execution**** Underwrite and price Excess Casualty deals in accordance with ICW Specialty's guidelines, appetite, and profitability goals.* Evaluate complex risks, policy forms, and coverage structures across industries.* Manage underwriting workflow, from initial submission to quote, bind, and policy issuance.* Ensure compliance with underwriting governance, audits, and regulatory requirements.***Production & Broker Engagement**** Build, maintain, and expand relationships with wholesale brokers across key territories.* Act as the primary point of contact and trusted advisor for wholesale partners, delivering responsive service and tailored solutions.* Collaborate with distribution leadership to identify high-value broker partnerships and geographic growth opportunities.* Represent ICW Specialty at broker meetings, industry events, and conferences, promoting the company's brand and market presence.* Continually evaluates and executes the ICW value proposition when soliciting and developing excess casualty opportunities.***Portfolio Contribution**** Manage a personal book of business with accountability for profitability and growth. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Executes tasks that span across multiple systems/processes for one or more business projects/areas. * Reviews, analyzes, and evaluates business and IT systems and user needs to determine the best test approach. * Estimates, prioritizes, plans, and coordinates test activities. * Identifies, records, thoroughly documents, and tracks bugs. * Partners with the Development team to perform test via standards based on APIs for communicating between applications. * Tracks quality assurance metrics including reporting on pre-defined KPI, defect densities, and open defects counts. * Influences quality engineering best practices within the scrum team. * Executes and maintains automated regression test suites using open source tools. * Follows standards in accordance with company policy and regulation (MAR, HIPAA, ISO 2700, ISO 27001, etc.). * Recommends process improvement and strengthens the quality standards and implements those improvements on approval. * Audits test deliverables to ensure they meet standards and takes corrective action to mitigate variances. * Leads the QA efforts for large initiatives and collaborates closely with external vendor partners (offshore, nearshore) for work assignments, status calls, working sessions, triage calls etc. Develops detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test plans and test cases. * Develops, publishes, and implements test strategy, test plans, and test scripts. * Develops and applies testing processes to new and existing products to meet stakeholders needs. * Develops and maintains automated test harnesses and libraries. * Develops and maintains testing standards, procedures, and guidelines to ensure consistent testing procedures. * Creates tests that cover functionality, load, security, etc. at the API and GUI levels. * Identifies risks and develops mitigation strategies. Learn more about why you want to be here! JOB SUMMARY The Senior Workday Analyst plays a critical role in the optimization and support of the Workday Human Capital Management (HCM) system. This position is responsible for leading configuration, reporting, and system enhancements across multiple Workday modules, including Core HCM, Compensation, Talent, Absence, and Advanced Reporting. The role will partner with cross-functional teams, IT and business stakeholders to ensure Workday solutions align with organizational goals and delivers a seamless user experience. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES * Serve as a Workday subject matter expert, providing guidance on system capabilities, best practices, and configuration options. * Lead the design, testing, and implementation of Workday enhancements, integrations, and new modules. * Develop and maintain advanced Workday reports and dashboards to support business needs and compliance requirements. * Collaborate with HR and cross-functional teams to gather requirements, troubleshoot issues, and deliver scalable solutions. * Manage Workday security roles and ensure data integrity and compliance with internal controls. * Support Workday releases by evaluating new features, conducting impact analysis, and coordinating deployment. * Provide training and documentation to end users and HR team members. Document processes, configurations, and resolutions for internal knowledge sharing. * Monitor system performance and proactively identify opportunities for improvement. * Analyze the impact of Workday's bi-annual updates and help test and configure new functionality. * Support functional area process configurations and configure Workday HCM workstreams to align with HR policies, processes, and best practices. * Work with IT to troubleshoot and resolve application and integration related incidents and problems. * Assists with external vendor service requests to resolve data integrity issues, vendor interface file enhancements, etc. and maintains and documents HR system changes for regulatory compliance needs. * Stays current with Workday releases, trends, and industry best practices, proactively identifying opportunities for system optimization and process improvements. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES This role does not have supervisory responsibilities. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS * Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Computer Science, business administration or related field, or equivalent experience. * Minimum 5-7 years' experience in Workday HCM with hands-on expertise in configuration, reporting, and business process design. * Minimum 2 Workday Pro Certifications including Workday HCM, Compensation, Talent, etc. * Experience in Workday modules Payroll, Talent, Recruiting; People Analytics highly preferred. * Experience with Workday Report Writer, Calculated Fields, and EIBs (Enterprise Interface Builder). * Strong understanding of HR systems and processes. * Excellent analytical, problem-solving, prioritization, and time management skills. * Proven ability to work in a team-oriented, collaborative environment. * Strong written and verbal communication skills and ability to interact with all levels. * Strong project management skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively. * Excellent integrity, discretion, and confidentiality in handling sensitive HR data.
