Role Mission: RISE stands for Reaching Independence through Support and Education. IDEA RISE Intervention Specialists ensure that our students who have a wide range of learning, cognitive, emotional, and physical disabilities, are held to very high achievement expectations so that they reach their fullest potential. Our IDEA RISE Intervention Specialists teach all subjects such as Reading, Writing, and Math, History, Adaptive PE and others to students who have but are not limited to intellectual, behavioral, and physical disabilities. RISE Intervention Specialists also provide resources, education, training, and emotional support to the families they serve so families are prepared for long-term plans for their children.
What We Offer
Compensation:
The starting teacher salary for 0 years of experience is $48,500. This role is eligible for various stipends based on certifications, credentials, and campus leadership ranging from $500-$4,000 each. We also offer opportunities and incentives through our Teacher Career Pathway with the potential to earn up to $10,000 in additional compensation. Additional hourly compensation is provided for after school tutoring or Saturday school as assigned.

Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor's Degree from an accredited four-year educational institution
Experience: Experience in a Special Education classroom setting with students who have significant disabilities
Licenses or Certifications: Valid Ohio Intervention Specialist license specializing in Moderate/Intensive special needs
Knowledge and Skills:

What You'll Do -- Accountabilities
Responsibilities:
Adapt lessons to meet the needs of students
Support coordination of related services for students on their caseload
Develop Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for a caseload of students
Implement IEPs, assess students' performance, and track their progress
Update IEPs throughout the school year to reflect students' progress and goals
Assess students' skills to determine their needs and to develop teaching plans
Collect and analyze student data in order to make effective decisions to maximize achievement
Discuss student's progress with parents, teachers, counselors, and administrators
Prepare and help students transition from grade to grade and after graduation
Implement state learning standards and IDEA curricula and assessments to meet ambitious academic expectations
Submit weekly lesson plans two weeks in advance for feedback
Implement formal and informal assessments to track each individual student's progress and learning needs, adjust lesson plans accordingly and update gradebook weekly
Communicate students' progress with student and family on a weekly basis
Effective facilitation and personal use of technology as a communication and educational tool to improve student achievement and manage work related tasks.
Implement a clear and consistent behavior management system that aligns to campus- wide initiatives while developing students' character and sense of community in the classroom
Help shape and develop a school wide culture that fosters a productive and enthusiastic learning environment for each student
Establish and maintain a cooperative working relationship with students and families based on trust, understanding and respect for the communities in which they identify.
Host necessary tutoring sessions to meet all students' needs
Participate in weekly manager check-ins, grade-level meetings, before and after-school duties, and school wide meetings and functions
Engage in summer and year-long district, school and personal learning and development
Minimum of 40+ hours spent at school per week

Role Mission:
The School Psychologist is a key member of the Special Programs team and partners with regional instructional leaders, campus leaders, and teachers to maximize student outcomes. As the School Psychologist, you will be responsible for demonstrating knowledge and skill in assessment, determining Special Education eligibility, providing academic and behavioral interventions, following state and federal legal frameworks for Special Education, and ensuring compliance with all facets of Special Education. What You'll Do - Accountabilities
Essential Duties:
Supports the special education teachers in developing appropriate IEP academic, behavioral, and social goals.
Provides mentorship and guidance to school staff, supporting their professional growth and development. Leads professional development sesions and training initiatives to strengthen insturctional practices and student support strategies.
Ensure IEP services are being provided as indicated in the Evaluation Team Report (ETR).
Meet 100% compliance in Annual ARDs and ensure all paperwork is submitted in a timely manner.
Works in conjunction with Speech Language Pathologists, Occupational Therapists, and other related and Instructional Service Personnel (VI, AI, APE, PT) to ensure completion of all ARD paperwork in a timely manner.
Follows correct procedures for maintaining records and services.
Ensure all counseling services are tracked
Complete counseling service notes per session
Be trained in Crisis Prevention and Intervention (CPI)
Conduct crisis counseling when necessary
Guide the campus in interventions for students who are in emotional and behavioral crisis
Critical Student Instruction groups are established and instruction is executed with fidelity at campuses
Provide support to 504 campus coordinator with 504 meeting requirements, 504 eligibility determination, Homebound services, and Manifestation Determination.
Conduct dyslexia evaluations for 504 students.
Guide campuses in tracking and documenting academic and behavioral interventions in MTSS process, i.e., TIER I, TIER II, and TIER III.
Conducts multidisciplinary evaluations, Full and Individual Evaluations for all Non-Speech only students who are referred for 1 or more eligibility categories (out of 11 eligibility categories).
Ensures psychological evaluations for Autism and Emotional Disturbance are conducted in accordance with National Association of School Psychologists best practice recommendations.
Adhere to most up to date evaluation tools and standards as stipulated in the American Psychological Association Testing Standards
Conducts evaluations as needed for student College Board accommodations
Helps the campus conduct a Functional Behavioral Assessment.
Ensure that campuses are employing a problem solving model for students in TIERS II and TIERS III
Guides the campus in how to track and document academic and behavioral interventions
Aids the campus in completing Functional Behavioral Assessments and Behavior Intervention Plans in Response to Intervention
Provides guidance on academic and behavioral interventions in TIERS II and TIER III
When necessary ensures that students referred to Special Education have participated in TIER II and TIER III interventions for an appropriate amount of time prior to referral for Special Education evaluations.

What You'll Do - Accountabilities
1. Strategic Talent Planning & Partnerships
Build and maintain high-impact partnerships with universities, teacher preparation programs, and alternative certification providers to ensure a sustainable educator pipeline.
Partner with regional and campus leaders to forecast hiring needs, identify hard-to-fill roles, and plan early recruitment cycles.
Represent IDEA GC at recruitment fairs, university events, and community gatherings as a brand ambassador, promoting our mission and opportunities.
Provide data and recommendations to the Senior Regional Director of Talent to inform regional hiring strategy and future workforce planning.
2. Recruitment & Selection
Manage full-cycle recruitment for assigned instructional and non-instructional roles, ensuring every vacancy is filled with high-quality candidates.
Execute regional recruitment campaigns and job postings that align with IDEA GC's community-facing brand and messaging.
Source, screen, and select candidates using a data-driven approach that prioritizes quality, mission alignment, and retention potential.
Collaborate with campus leaders and regional operations staff to ensure 100% of roles are filled by the first day of school.
Use data dashboards to track time-to-fill, candidate quality, diversity, and conversion rates, and share insights regularly with the Senior Regional Director of Talent.
3. Onboarding & Retention
Partner with the Senior Regional Director of Talent and HR team to design and implement onboarding and early support systems that accelerate new hire integration and engagement.
Conduct structured pulse checks and exit interviews; analyze and communicate trends to identify and address root causes of turnover.
Collaborate with regional and campus leadership to execute retention action plans, with a focus on high-need roles and campuses.
Track and report retention trends and culture survey results to inform leadership decision-making.
4. Talent Data, Systems, & Continuous Improvement
Maintain accurate data in the applicant tracking system and produce monthly recruitment and retention dashboards for regional review.
Analyze trends in hiring, onboarding, and retention to identify opportunities for process improvement and support the Senior Regional Director of Talent in implementing changes.
Ensure compliance with all applicable Ohio educator credentialing and background check requirements.
Contribute to the continuous improvement of IDEA GC's regional talent systems, tools, and communication protocols.

100% of critical roles (teachers, counselors, operations staff) filled by the first day of school.

Qualifications
Education:
Bachelor's degree ; advanced degree or SHRM/PHR certification preferred.
Experience:
Minimum of 3-5 years of professional experience in talent acquisition, education recruitment, or related field.

Role Mission: IDEA's Teaching Fellows serve as High Dosage Tutors, mastering instructional strategies to provide highly effective intervention, remediation, and acceleration to IDEA students. Teaching Fellows serving as High Dosage Tutors are primarily responsible for tutoring all students on a Reading Improvement and Monitoring Plan (RIMP). Ohio law requires all districts and schools to provide high dosage tutoring opportunities to all students on RIMPs, including students with disabilities. A student remains on a RIMP until reading at grade level. In addition to other RIMP requirements, high-dosage tutoring opportunities must continue until the student is reading at grade level. Under the guidance of an Assistant Principal of Instruction, a Teaching Fellow serving as a High Dosage Tutor will facilitate tutoring best practices and develop skills related to instructional grouping, instructional materials, instructional delivery, and progress monitoring. High Dosage Tutors will also support interventions for IDEA students identified for the RTI/MTSS program (Literacy and Numeracy Skills) and be key staff for tutoring.

Essential Duties
1. Charter Compliance, Authorizer Relations, and Renewal Preparation
Serve as IDEA Greater Cincinnati's primary compliance liaison to the Fordham Institute and the Ohio Department of Education and Workforce (ODEW).
Ensure IDEA GC meets 100% of all Fordham contractual obligations, including all “Meets Standard” ratings on Fordham's Alternative Accountability Measures (governance, financial performance, academic reporting, and operational compliance).
Maintain ongoing communication with Fordham staff regarding deadlines, submissions, and compliance evidence.
Coordinate the authorizer performance framework process, including submission of documentation, performance analysis, and follow-up.
Lead IDEA GC's 2027 Charter Renewal process, including development of all renewal documentation, compliance evidence, and internal readiness reviews.
Partner with IPS Legal, Executive Director, and regional leaders to ensure renewal submissions reflect IDEA GC's performance and continuous improvement.
2. EMIS Oversight and Data Integrity
Oversee and coordinate Educational Management Information System (EMIS) data submission and reporting for all IDEA GC schools.
Work in collaboration with regional operations, data, and academic teams to ensure accuracy and timeliness of EMIS data (attendance, enrollment, discipline, and course information).
Serve as the regional point of contact for ODEW EMIS coordinators and external audits.
Monitor data integrity and ensure alignment between EMIS reporting and the SIS and analytics platform.
Provide data accuracy audits, quarterly compliance dashboards, and year-end reconciliations.
3. Regulatory and Policy Compliance
Develop and maintain a regional compliance calendar capturing all deadlines, submissions, and audit cycles across departments.
Lead preparation and quality assurance for all state and federal submissions (e.g., attendance, testing, Title programs, financial reports, safety drills, and accessibility compliance).
Collaborate with legal and governance teams to ensure IDEA GC's policies and handbooks are up-to-date and consistent with Ohio law and IDEA policy.
Manage responses to all ODEW or authorizer audits, desk reviews, or investigations, coordinating with internal teams for corrective actions and documentation.
Track trends and risks across campuses, and report quarterly to the Regional Executive Director.
4. Internal Audits, Risk Management, and Systems Building
Conduct quarterly internal compliance reviews of high-risk areas (student records, special education, safety, attendance, HR documentation).
Develop and manage a regional compliance tracking system that integrates with IDEA's national dashboards and supports ongoing risk assessment.
Partner with the IPS Internal Audit and Risk Management teams to ensure alignment and share best practices.
Lead or coordinate corrective action plans to closure when findings occur, ensuring accountability and continuous improvement.
Create a culture of proactive compliance-celebrating milestones, highlighting successes, and embedding “sweat the small stuff” accountability into daily operations.
5. Governance and Board Effectiveness
Partner with the Executive Director to strengthen the IDEA Greater Cincinnati Board's effectiveness and compliance.
Ensure timely completion and submission of board training certifications, ethics disclosures, and public posting requirements.
Manage compliance portions of board meeting preparation, including accuracy of agendas, minutes, and supporting documents.
Track follow-up items and ensure alignment between board action items and compliance timelines.
Support the board in maintaining readiness for Fordham authorizer reviews and public transparency requirements, including website postings and policy updates.
6. Leadership and Capacity Building
Train campus operations leaders and regional staff on compliance expectations, data reporting, and documentation standards.
Build sustainable systems and tools that reduce reliance on any single individual for compliance execution.
Partner with academic and operational leaders to strengthen cross-functional ownership of compliance, including integration into school routines and audits.
Provide regular updates and recommendations to the Executive Director on compliance trends, risks, and mitigation strategies.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provide direct and indirect occupational therapy services as outlined in students' Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) or Section 504 plans.
Conduct assessments of motor, visual-motor, and sensory-motor skills for students referred for special education evaluation to help determine eligibility for services.
Participate in the IEP/Section 504 process, providing input on assessment measures, intervention strategies, and student progress.
Collaborate as a member of the special education team to deliver comprehensive services to students with disabilities.
Consult with teachers, school administrators, parents, and relevant stakeholders regarding students' physical, motor, and sensory development.
Work closely with teachers to integrate occupational therapy goals into the classroom environment and support classroom objectives through therapy programs.

Role Mission: IDEA Assistant Principals of Instruction (APIs) are instructional leaders who manage, coach and develop the teachers at their school to achieve ambitious results with students. They monitor the progress of students to ensure ALL students are on-track for college.

Compensation:
Salaries for people entering this role typically fall between $67,000 and $81,000, commensurate with relevant experience and qualifications and in alignment with internal equity. This role is also eligible for a performance bonus based on team performance and goal attainment.

What You Bring -- Competencies
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred
Experience: At least 3 years of full-time teaching experience
Teacher leadership or administrative experience required
Proven track record of achieving success in the K-12 setting
Experience managing/coaching others preferred
Knowledge and Skills:
Knowledge of core academic subject assigned and ability to pass an IDEA content assessment
Strong ability to coach teachers on curriculum and instruction
Ability to instruct students and manage student behavior
Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
Ability to adjust and adapt to a multitude of situations in the school environment
Ability to de-escalate student behavior

Responsibilities:
Focus on IDEA's core purpose to get all students into college
Hold high expectations for self and others to achieve and surpass intended goals
Lead instructional staff to achieve measurable and ambitious results
Lead instructional staff to improve their teaching quickly and measurably through daily observations, on-the-spot coaching, data conversations, and effective evaluations
Supervise the implementation of Ohio standards-aligned curricula and assessments to meet ambitious academic expectations
Review teachers' weekly lesson plans and provide feedback
Synthesize, analyze, and prioritize data and opportunities to develop strategies that achieve quantifiable goals
Proactively identify opportunities to improve and consistently reflect on past actions to guide future decisions
Communicate students' progress with student and family
Establish and maintain a cooperative working relationship with students and families based on trust, understanding and respect for the communities in which they identify.
Effective facilitation and personal use of technology as a communication and educational tool to improve teacher development, student achievement and manage work related tasks.
Support the creation and implementation of a clear and consistent behavior management system while developing students' character and sense of community
Help shape and develop a school-wide culture that fosters a productive and enthusiastic learning environment for each student
Oversee campus-based tutoring sessions
Participate in weekly manager check-ins, grade-level meetings, before and after-school duties, and school wide meetings and functions
Engage in summer and year-long district, school and personal learning and development
Minimum of 40+ hours spent at school per week
Additional responsibilities may include: after-school tutoring or Saturday school and are based on the needs of our scholars
