Role Mission: RISE stands for Reaching Independence through Support and Education. IDEA Exceptional Student RISE teachers ensure that our students who have a wide range of learning, cognitive, emotional, and physical disabilities, are held to very high achievement expectations so that they reach their fullest potential. Our IDEA Exceptional Student RISE teachers teach all subjects such as Reading, Writing, and Math, History, Adaptive PE and others to students who have but are not limited to intellectual, behavioral, and physical disabilities. RISE Exceptional Student teachers also provide resources, education, training, and emotional support to the families they serve so families are prepared for long-term plans for their children.

Compensation:
The starting teacher salary for 0 years of experience is $50,000. This role is eligible for various stipends based on certifications, credentials, and campus leadership ranging from $500-$4,000 each. We also offer opportunities and incentives through our Teacher Career Pathway with the potential to earn up to $10,000 in additional compensation. Additional hourly compensation is provided for after school tutoring or Saturday school as assigned.

Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor's Degree from an accredited four-year educational institution
Experience: Experience in an Exceptional Student Education classroom setting with students who have significant disabilities
Licenses or Certifications: valid state certification in Exceptional Student Education and content is required, current GT endorsement or willingness to earn GT endorsement upon hire required

What You'll Do -- Accountabilities
Exceptional Student Education Teacher Responsibilities:
Adapt lessons to meet the needs of students
Support coordination of related services for students on their caseload
Develop Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for a caseload of students
Implement IEPs, assess students' performance, and track their progress
Update IEPs throughout the school year to reflect students' progress and goals
Assess students' skills to determine their needs and to develop teaching plans
Collect and analyze student data in order to make effective decisions to maximize achievement
Discuss student's progress with parents, teachers, counselors, and administrators
Prepare and help students transition from grade to grade and after graduation
Implement state learning standards and IDEA curricula and assessments to meet ambitious academic expectations
Submit weekly lesson plans two weeks in advance for feedback
Implement formal and informal assessments to track each individual student's progress and learning needs, adjust lesson plans accordingly and update gradebook weekly

Role Mission:

Guide campuses in tracking and documenting academic and behavioral interventions in TIER I, TIER II, and TIER III.
Conducts multidisciplinary evaluations Full and Individual Evaluations for all Non-Speech only students who are referred for 1 or more eligibility categories (out of 11 eligibility categories).
Ensures psychological evaluations for Autism and Emotional Disturbance are conducted in accordance with National Association of School Psychologists best practice recommendations.

Review IEPs and ensure 100% implementation of extensive knowledge and provide top quality speech therapy services.

For dual ARDs, participate in ARDs and update IEPs, Present Levels of Academic Achievement and Functional Performance, and schedule of service in accordance with students' progress.
Ensure 100% compliance by completing Speech and Language Initials and Re-Evaluations prior to due date as per Texas Education Agency (TEA) timeframe.
Demonstrate extensive knowledge in the appropriate selection of assessment tools, conducting assessments, interpreting, and identifying students with communication disorders and determine eligibility for services according to IDEA Public Schools Policies and Procedures, TEA Guidelines, and Licensing Boards.
For qualifying students, develop appropriate speech IEPs aligned to instruction and schedule of service in accordance to the students' academic needs.

Leads parent conversations and problem solves to ensure we are meeting the needs of our students and families in collaboration with campus lead team.
Coaches and develops teachers to work with all students and families. Partners with the appropriate lead team/campus team members to support the staff and the student to work together to achieve goals.
Maintain knowledge of community agencies as a resource to meet student and school needs.
Directs implementation of state mandated guidance lessons to all students to develop life skills, promote good character, and develop resilience.
Provides support through feedback, training, coaching, and developing teachers in working with students social/emotional needs in the classroom.

Directs and manages through influence all campus team members to their role in family engagement to retain new students from year to year.
Lead the planning and execution of specific new parent events to welcome the new parents to the campus and helps them integrate and get acclimated to the campus culture and expectations with campus lead team.
Leads the parent conversations and addresses concerns of our newest families to ensure they are heard, and the campus is responsive
Partners with the APO to ensure all new student on-boarding is completed and operational support is given at all new student and new parent events
Owns the campus new student persistence to ensure 100% of data accuracy and reporting through close partnership with the PEIMS team on campus. Notify all stakeholders who own the persistence goal of the data and rationale as to why students are leaving to identify and analyze trends.

Role Mission:

What You'll Do - Accountabilities
Essential Duties:
Review IEPs and ensure 100% implementation of extensive knowledge and provide top quality speech therapy services.
Create IEPs aligned to instruction with the collaboration of parents, general educators, special educators, and interventionists.
Monitor students' therapy and academic progress throughout the year in order to update goals and request additional testing when deemed necessary.
Ensure 100% compliance with ARDs by reviewing Special Education Student Rosters for Annual ARDs and Re-Evaluations due dates on a weekly basis.
Schedule Annual ARDs and Re-Evaluation ARDs prior to due date to ensure 100% compliance.
Facilitate ARDs and prepare ARD documents in accordance with students' progress, archive ARD documents, and submit signature pages within specified timely to Manager.
For dual ARDs, schedule Annual ARDs and Re-Evaluation ARDs prior to due date with Diagnostician, Licensed Specialist School Psychology, and/or Occupational Therapist to ensure 100% compliance.
For dual ARDs, participate in ARDs and update IEPs, Present Levels of Academic Achievement and Functional Performance, and schedule of service in accordance with students' progress.
Ensure 100% compliance by completing Speech and Language Initials and Re-Evaluations prior to due date as per Texas Education Agency (TEA) timeframe.
Demonstrate extensive knowledge in the appropriate selection of assessment tools, conducting assessments, interpreting, and identifying students with communication disorders and determine eligibility for services according to IDEA Public Schools Policies and Procedures, TEA Guidelines, and Licensing Boards.
For qualifying students, develop appropriate speech IEPs aligned to instruction and schedule of service in accordance to the students' academic needs.
Maintain Therapy Notes, Tracking Logs, ARD Logs, and Evaluation Logs on a daily basis and review with the Manager on a weekly basis.
Submit Therapy Logs on a Quarterly Basis to their Manager.
Maintain SHARS (Medicaid) records and submit SHARS billing on a monthly basis.
Ensure and monitor students' progress in order to complete progress reports on a quarterly basis.
Participate in Annual Performance with their Manager and submit documentation.
Communicate a shared vision and shared responsibility to establish and promote efficient implementation of RTI at the school-level throughout the various TIERs.
Support the RTI Team in providing recommendations for the implementation of speech interventions with high levels of fidelity.
Conduct formal assessments, planning, and scheduling of ARDs alongside the Diagnostician, Licensed Specialist in School Psychology, and/or Occupational Therapist in order to report evaluation results within TEA timeframe to the ARD Committee.

Enrollment Process Management: Ability to manage the entire enrollment process, including fostering local interest, managing milestones, and ensuring compliance.
Data Integrity: Attention to detail in maintaining accurate records and ensuring data integrity throughout the registration and re-registration processes.
Compliance: Knowledge of and adherence to compliance expectations to secure personal student information.
Relationship-Building: Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including families, community organizations, and campus staff.
Parent Engagement: Skilled in engaging with parents and families to support their children's education and ensure their persistence in the school.
•Event Planning and Coordination: Expertise in planning and coordinating events such as campus tours, orientation sessions, and community engagement activities.
Time Management: Ability to manage time effectively, especially when working a non-traditional schedule that includes evenings, weekends, and select holidays.
Adaptability: Flexibility to adjust strategies and plans based on progress towards goals and changing circumstances.
Problem-Solving: Strong problem-solving skills to address issues that arise during the enrollment process and ensure timely resolution.
Data Entry and Computer Skills: Proficiency in data entry and using computer systems to manage enrollment data and communications.
Knowledge of IDEA Public Schools: Familiarity with the IDEA Public Schools model and programs to effectively communicate with families.
Goal-Driven and Data-Oriented: Motivated by achieving targets and using data to inform decisions and strategies.
Self-Management: Ability to work independently and manage one's own workload and responsibilities.
Bilingual (Preferred): Proficiency in English and Spanish to communicate effectively with a diverse family population.
Required Experience:
High School Diploma
Licenses or Certifications: Valid Driver's License with a clear motor vehicle record
At least (2) years of experience in sales, recruitment, admissions, or enrollment, preferably within an educational setting.
Required work schedule: 9:00am-6:00pm Tuesday to Saturday with occasional Sundays and holidays
Preferred experience:
Bachelor's degree preferred but not required.
K-12 education experience
Bilingual: Proficiency in English and Spanish.
Physical Requirements:
The ability to sit, stand and walk for long periods of time.
The ability to move safely over uneven terrain or in confined spaces.
The ability to work in extreme weather.
Bending, crawling, stooping, standing, vision, lifting, walking.
Ability to carry up to 50lb
