SUMMARY OF JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for leading daily warehouse operations to ensure the safe, efficient, and accurate distribution of warehouse inventory. This role serves as a catalyst for continuous improvement, driving initiatives that maximize space efficiency, elevate workforce productivity, and streamline operational processes, while embedding a culture of safety, accountability, and Lean excellence.
REPORTS TO (Title): Director of Supply Chain
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Ensure compliance with safety standards, company policies, and regulatory requirements
Coordinate activities of warehouse staff, including receiving, put away, picking, and replenishment
Monitor warehouse inventory levels to ensure optimal stock accuracy and availability
Ensure timely and accurate entry of inventory transactions including receipts, shipments, and cycle counts
Support cycle counts and lead the annual physical inventory activities to maintain data integrity
Train, coach, and evaluate team members to promote productivity and engagement
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment
Partner with cross-functional teams to resolve issues and enhance operational processes
Operate and oversee use of warehouse equipment (e.g., forklifts, pallet jacks)
Monitor and report key warehouse performance metrics and KPI's
Address and resolve union-related matters to support workplace harmony and compliance
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND REQUIRED ABILITIES:
Ability to lead, motivate, and develop warehouse personnel
Respond effectively to changing priorities and unexpected challenges
Professional communication across departments and with team members
Strong analytical skills to identify issues and implement effective solutions
Computer skills
Uphold company policies and ensure team adherence to procedures
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
5+ years of manufacturing/distribution experience, with at least 2 years in Lean/Kanban environment
Strong knowledge of Lean tools (5S, Value Stream Mapping, Root Cause Analysis)
Experience implementing and managing Kanban systems in a warehouse or manufacturing setting preferred
Proficiency in warehouse management systems (WMS) preferred
Excellent leadership, communication, and problem solving skills
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Operates in a manufacturing environment where priorities can shift rapidly based on business needs
Requires regular movement throughout the warehouse, including walking, standing, bending, and occasional lifting of materials or equipment
May require flexibility to work various shifts including evenings and weekends

What We Offer
Compensation:
This is an hourly non-exempt role. The salary range for this role and market is between $33,000 - $41,000 annually. Factors that may affect the starting salary include geography/market and the individual's tenure, performance, skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate. Employees in this role are not eligible for a bonus but do earn overtime when they work more than 40 hours in a week (or as otherwise required by state law).

A day in the life
Your morning begins in Bryan, OH, reviewing overnight global inquiries. Establish proper angular table settings to perform manual forming operations on work requiring the grinding or compound radii and angles.

Qualifications:
