ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Maintain and troubleshoot Rockwell Control Logix systems • Installing, programming and troubleshooting PLC's and using the PLC program as a troubleshooting tool • Perform preventive maintenance on instrumentation without supervision and solve complex instrumentation/PLC problems. • Calculate electrical loads to determine size of conductors and breakers and design and modify electrical circuits to meet the demands of the plant. • Read and understand advanced electrical schematics and interconnection diagrams/drawings including pneumatic systems. • Implement electrical, electronic and pneumatic control schemes • Troubleshoot and repair plant electrical equipment. • Calibrate instrumentation and controllers • Plan instrumentation maintenance projects and determine manpower/material needs • All other duties assigned by supervisor.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Technical Skills: Strong working knowledge of PLCs and PLC programming using Rockwell Control Logix is required. Must have working knowledge of motion controls, servo, Variable Frequency Drives, Hart instrument configuration, programming and ladder logic, troubleshooting and repairing AC/DC motor controls, blue print reading as well as schematics; industrial code and wiring, RSLogix. Knowledge of Rockwell Factory Talk Software Programs preferred. Solid basic electrical skills required. Ability to use precision tools, i.e., Hart calibrator, process calibrator, various multimeters, Basic networking experience a plus. Must have the ability to use advanced trades mathematics together with the use of complicated drawings, specifications, charts, tables all varieties of precision measuring instruments, follow written instruction and possess basic computer skills using common programs such as windows operating systems, spreadsheets and word processors. Experience and Education: Associates Degree along with 5 years of experience in instrumentation/electrical and electronic circuitry in a manufacturing setting strongly preferred, Or 10 years of experience in instrumentation/electrical and electronic circuitry in a manufacturing setting. Other Skills: Ability to work with others and share information with others. Uses independent judgment to plan and perform work. Ability to work safely and efficiently, help to reduce costs and support the Company's continuous improvement process.
