What We Need:
We're seeking a skilled Promotions Assistant to assist the promotions and marketing departments.

+ Analyze transactions and calculate use tax on purchases
+ Perform tax research as needed
+ Maintain taxability matrix for sales and use tax
+ Respond to internal and external inquiries related to tax on sales and purchases
+ Lead responses to notices from tax authorities
+ Manage and maintain tax related back-office systems for sales and use tax (Vertex)
+ Handle sales and use tax audits
+ Prepare property tax returns and handle property tax audits
+ Prepare and file state and local tax licenses
+ Maintain tax compliance calendar
+ Prepare Canadian income tax workpapers
+ Assist in transfer pricing documentation and analysis
+ Perform other projects as assigned
What You'll Bring:
+ 5-8 years of related experience with a Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration required. (CPA or Masters Degree in taxation is a plus)
+ Work experience in public accounting or corporate environment
+ Strong communication skills and problem-solving abilities
+ Solid accounting skills and proficiency with book-to-tax adjustments
+ Must be detail-oriented and be able to work independently
+ Strong analytical skills with advanced proficiency in Excel
+ Proven, hands-on experience preparing business tax returns required
+ Experience in sales and use tax areas desired
+ Strong technical knowledge of corporate tax law and regulations
+ Ability to be self-motivated, flexible, and adaptable in a collaborative, high-performance work environment
