David Shimoni
PlumChoice

I have a well-rounded and successful business experience consisting of over 30 years of executive positions at different global tech companies facing a variety of business challenges, including hyper growth, turnaround and transformation. I run P&L’s ranging from $10M-$200M and up to 450 employees. I led or co-led the sale of three companies and the acquisition and integration of two. The companies I was involved with delivered B2B and B2C software and solutions, both SaaS/Cloud-based and on premise, in various industries, including Wireless, Mobile, IoT, Communications, IT, and Enterprise Software. MAJOR CAREER ACCOMPLISHMENTSAs the CEO at PlumChoice (provider of B2B and B2C, tech-enabled, premium technical support services, optimization and cyber security for small businesses and consumers in the areas of IoT, Cloud Applications and Help Desk ), I took this VC/PE-backed company through a major financial improvement resulting in tripling our EBITDA and shifting the revenue mix to high growth markets. Our efforts were rewarded by the acquisition of the company by Allstate Insurance and a good outcome for the investors. As the CEO at Mformation (market leader in providing SaaS-based, IoT / M2M device management, monitoring and cyber security solutions for mobile operators, IoT devices and enterprise customers), I took this PE-backed company, which came out of chapter 11, through a major business model transformation from perpetual licensing to a SaaS offering and from management of mobile phones to that of IoT / M2M devices, resulting in the acquisition by Alcatel-Lucent (currently Nokia) and a good outcome for the investors. As the SVP, WW Sales at Networks In Motion (pioneer in providing SaaS-based mobile Location-Based Services (LBS), solutions and applications), I took this VC-backed company through a hyper sales growth (35X in 3 years) resulting in the acquisition by Telecommunication Systems Inc. (currently Comtech) and a significant upside for the investors. As the VP, NA Sales at Comverse Network Systems (provider of network-based software and systems enabling value-added services for messaging, browsing, video, advertising, billing and IP communications), I led several sales initiatives during the 10 years I was at this publicly traded company, contributing to a 50-fold revenue growth and a huge upside for the investors. I was instrumental in the merger with Boston Technology whom Comverse acquired in 1997.
