In order to increase the speed of data transmission between the port areas since 2002 the company has been performing the project of creating optical cables network.
Sree co-founded iLink Systems in 2002 when many of the companies were going bankrupt due to the Dotcom bubble.
On July 17th, 2003 in order to improve the quality of customer service, expand the range of services and increase the number of clients the IT department was formed into separate company iLink Ltd.
Doctor Mahadevan returned to iLink for a second inning with the company in 2017 after spending 4 years in India as the CEO and MD of the Institute of Ayurveda and Integrative Medicine (I-AIM) and Professor, School of Health Sciences, Transdisciplinary University (TDU).
