SUMMARY OF POSITION:
The Marketing and Communications Manager is responsible for the development and delivery of college-wide communications and marketing strategy to align with the mission and strategic plan of Iisavik College. This role also manages and directs the department workflow, including the design and development of promotional materials, presentations, brochures, and advertisements.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Prepares various reports that include Cabinet Report, Year End Strategic Report, and compilation of the Annual Report.
Advises the President, Deans, and other Iisavik employees on marketing and promotional materials.
Supervises Communications & Social Media Coordinator and Marketing interns.
Coordinates and maintains Iisavik Colleges overall marketing program, including the design, development, and production of the Colleges web page, instructional announcements, general announcements, Iisavik College Foundation materials, catalogs, course schedules, annual report, budget presentations, and special projects.
Serves as primary point of contact for online accessibility; ensures materials, images, and overall content uploaded to the College website meets accessibility and compliance; defers materials back to the necessary department, divisions, and staff to ensure website compliance is met.
Assists in disseminating College/community-wide communications.
Develops, implements and evaluates tactical and innovative marketing and communications strategies through various platforms.
Write, format, edit, review, and proof procedural and technical information for technical and nontechnical users. Provide editing support for all document types, as requested.
Ensures consistent and optimal branding is maintained throughout all promotional and informational materials produced by the college.
Coordinates the review process of all promotional and informational material released by the College to the public to ensure that the message is consistent with the Colleges mission and the information is accurate.
Works closely with all departments and divisions with specific focus to Recruitment, Registration, Academic Affairs, and Workforce Development departments to ensure marketing strategy maintains relevancy to the target audience.
Ensures consistent monthly internal meetings with the Communications & Social Media Coordinator to support a robust sharing of updated College communication, offerings, news, and resources. Photographs activities and events throughout the year and maintains photo database for use in marketing materials.
Maintains and updates the College website via Wordpress and with third-party vendor as needed.
Communicates with staff, students, College Board of Trustees members, College Foundation Board of Directors members, and community members to gather appropriate marketing information.
Works closely with the Office of the President & the External Affairs Manager to support external communication materials including drafting of communications (i.e. newsletters, press releases, white papers) to support external outreach and communications to external stakeholders, and the public.
Ensures the executive level management approves any external news articles with including President approval.
Develops and maintains marketing records, including marketing files, contracts, and the Marketing Division standard operating procedures.
Complies with College policies, procedures and administrative directives, as well as state, federal, and local laws, regulations, and ordinances.
Performs other related duties as required.

SUMMARY OF POSITION:
The Grants Administrator is responsible for the daily management of the colleges grant reporting and administrative functions.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Oversees daily office operation of the Grants Office.
Provides project management and assists in the development, writing, editing and implementation of grant-related projects and reports.
Communicates regularly with program managers, grantors, and the college administration, ensuring that grant activities are consistent with program goals, objectives, the College Strategic Plan and Mission.
Maintain open communication with project managers and departments to inform them in advance of pending reports and due dates.
Responsible for reporting to regulatory agencies, funding organizations, and auditors to ensure accurate and timely reporting, as well as monitoring for compliance with all laws, regulations, and grant conditions.
Responsible for developing grant budgets, establishing and enforcing policies on grant funded expenditures, reviewing reports, and providing guidance on compliance requirements for all grant funded programs.
Perform timely drawdowns and reimbursement requests, submit reports, amendments, and encumbrances to funding agencies and complete other administrative responsibilities as required.
Files, screens calls, maintains departmental correspondence, databases, supplies, and purchase orders.
Responsible for Grant Reconciliation with the Controller pursuant to (OMB) Circular A-133.

Special Conditions:

Must be available for recall to the university in emergency situations, position is considered "Tier 1 / Mission Critical" work and the department is organized along a standard law enforcement model. Minimum Qualifications:

Must be 21 years of age or older. Alaska certified police officers and/or prior police experience preferred but not required. For out of state police officers and/or previous law enforcement officer experience the Alaska Police Standards Council (APSC) requires the completion of an equivalent law enforcement academy with a minimum of 650 academy hours and a State of Alaska basic law enforcement certificate is required within one year of hire. Position requires a high school diploma or equivalent and a valid Alaska driver's license (within 30 days of hire).
Applicant must be physically fit and able to perform daily job requirements of a police officer. Applicant must meet the minimum employment standards for a police officer as set the by APSC and successfully complete a physical agility test. To cover the Transportation Specialist duties in providing scheduled transportation runs in a College-provided vehicle for Ilisagvik College students and staff, if needed.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Ability to work nights and weekends.
Maintains daily log of van mileage and number of passengers.
Reports incidents involving riders to Dean of Students.
Completes incident reports/accident reports and submits to Dean within 24 hours.
Assists in developing biweekly schedule of drivers and submits schedule.
Provides light duty maintenance tasks, as needed, keeps gas tanks filled, tires aired, oil checked, and windows cleaned.
Maintains vehicle Gas Log.
Checks out and returns gas chip key with receipts the same day.
Stores van materials in and docks vehicle at the end of shift at the designated location.
Reports anomalies in running condition of vehicles.
Schedules repairs with fleet manager as needed.
Assists in developing and submitting van schedule based on classes offered each semester, and College related transportation needs, including airport runs to Dean.
Assists in the monthly report of clients served that is due to Dean one week prior to Cabinet Meeting each month.
Complies with College policies, procedures and administrative directives, as well as state, federal, and local laws, regulations, and ordinances.
Performs other related duties as assigned.

Under the supervision of the President, the Dean of Academic Affairs is responsible for providing academic leadership that fosters excellence in teaching and learning. The Dean of Academic Affairs plays a critical role in supporting faculty and key staff while maintaining frequent engagement and overseeing day-to-day administrative oversight, i.e., timesheets, hiring, monthly reports, various meetings, and maintaining relationships.
Additionally, the Dean of Academic Affairs is responsible for fostering a positive and growth-focused team atmosphere that promotes the college and meets the students where they are on their academic and career journey.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Oversees the following divisions: Academic Affairs Central Office, Instructional Programming, which includes Academics, Career & Technical Education, Workforce Development, and Educational Technology. Divisions are direct reports under the Dean of Academic Affairs that require frequent communication, listening, responsive changes to meet needs and day-to-day oversight.
The Dean of Academic Affairs also serves as the Accreditation Liaison to Iisaviks accrediting agency and leads an internal steering committee dedicated to accreditation compliance and success.
Direct supervision, mentoring, and oversight of twelve full-time faculty members, the Director of Career and Workforce Development, and the Associate Dean of Academic Affairs. Supports the Associate Dean as they oversee 25-30 adjuncts and the Director of Tuzzy Consortium Library. Supervision includes ensuring regular check-ins, contract communications, overload, and academic oversight and support.
Primary point of contact for faculty recruitment and onboarding, supports professional development, faculty evaluations, manages department budget and associated grants.
The Dean of Academic Affairs must work closely with the Dean of Students and faculty and staff to ensure students' success from enrollment on day one and their journey at the college. The Dean will provide frequent mentorship and support to faculty and staff development and monitor and enhance teaching and learning outcomes.
Overall Leadership, Administrative, and Relationship Responsibilities:
Provide strong, dynamic academic and administrative leadership; foster a collegial environment through transparent communication with faculty, staff, students, and other stakeholders; advocate for faculty, staff, and students, creating a community where all belong and thrive.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Collect snow samples
* Chemically analyze samples
* Attend local and national conferences
* Collect soil and permafrost
* Culture and grow bacteria in the lab
* Extract DNA
* Sequence DNA to determine species
* Input data into spreadsheet

The Instructor/Assistant Professor of Business and Basic Accounting is responsible for developing and teaching courses in the Business Program at the Associate and Bachelor degree levels, including courses on management, basic accounting, and undergraduate finance courses.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Teach courses in the faculty member's field of specialization (basic accounting and finance, general business) at the Associate and Bachelor degree levels.
* Individualize approach to instruction to accommodate students at different academic levels and employ different cultural frameworks within the same class session. Instruction may take place via direct instruction, cooperative learning, internship, apprenticeship, distance delivery, interactive computer-based instruction, and/or other modes, as needed and appropriate.
* Revise and develop curricular and instructional materials as needed to ensure course content, instructional methods, learning activities, assessment/evaluation products, and mode(s) of delivery remain current according to best practices in the field of study while addressing institutional needs. Participate in continuing professional development to support the above.
* Collaborate with academic peers, the Dean of Academic Affairs Office, and other College Departments/divisions (as needed) with instructional (e.g., curriculum, materials, assessment/evaluation tools), curricular (e.g., program review and revision), and institutional development (e.g., accreditation).
* Collect data, complete reports, and give presentations, as needed.
* Engage in service to the Department and the College (e.g., committee work, student advising, accreditation, adjunct support).
* Comply with College policies, procedures, and administrative directives, as well as state, federal, and local laws, regulations, and ordinances.
* Complete tasks commonly associated with faculty status (e.g., timely grade submission, regular office hours).
* May require travel by small plane to remote villages to provide instruction and/or conduct other College business.
* Performs other related duties as assigned.
KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES
* Excellent oral and written communication skills.
* Experience teaching introductory economics, basic accounting, and financial management courses (priority). Experience teaching management and operations (secondary).
* Computer and technology skills, as needed to perform duties.
* Minimum two years post-secondary teaching experience.
* Experience with multimodal delivery.
* Excellent interpersonal communication and relationship building skills.
* Demonstrated ability to interact effectively in a multicultural environment.
