Special Schedule Requirements: The schedule varies according to practice and contest times and dates. Early morning, late evening and weekend schedules are common in this position. The Head Athletic Trainer works with the athletic training staff to balance the schedules and keep long hours at a minimum. The Senior Grant Accountant position is responsible for providing independent guidance and oversight to principal investigators and department administrators in regard to grant and contract policies and procedures, compliance and regulatory issues, and post-award administration. This individual must demonstrate an advanced knowledge and understanding of federal and non-federal regulations, guidelines, and policies covering grant and contract processes. This person must have a working knowledge of post award accounting and financial reporting, performing internal audits of grants and contracts to ensure compliance with university and funding agency requirements.
