Major Areas of Accountability 1. Plans and supervises execution of daily activities in Machine Shop. Assigns and delegates tasks. Monitors schedule performance. Control cost of providing the products and services of assigned area(s). Monitors actual costs against standard costs and planned project costs and directs corrective action. Directs development and implementation of product, system and project cost improvements. 6. Establishes and applies performance metrics. Identifies opportunities for process and quality improvement. Evaluates employee performance and opportunities for improvement. Develops and implements solutions to process, quality and employee improvement opportunities. 7. Maintains operation of Machine Shop in compliance with budgetary guidelines. Position Responsibilities: Responsible for Food Safety & Quality. You are a role model for safety and encourage fellow employees to work safely. Must complete monthly safety, engagement and training activities and be willing to work in a culture built around continuous improvement and change. You are a mentor to upskill and train new and developing employees. You will remove completed rolls from rewind. You will need to push paper roll carts into loading position at press. You will assist the operator in preventative maintenance of equipment expectations. Support the operator to maintain the press and all related equipment which may include adjusting ink color, ink and glue viscosity and levels, web the press, to meet safety, quality, 5S, production and shift-end expectations. Visually inspect product (printed roll stock and roll formation) at rewind station to assure quality standards for color, registration, patches, print and moisture levels. Assist in root cause analysis to aid Press Operator in resolving problems. Enter information into SAP computer system. Check written descriptions of paper rolls and other raw materials to ensure correct material supply at the unwind stands and prepare for splicing. Maintain written production and inventory usage records. Other responsibilities as assigned. Qualifications/ Education/Experience: High School diploma or GED Interpret common internal reports and supporting documents. Able to lift and carry up to 45 - 55 pounds routinely. Monitor tool PM frequency/maintenance and adjust when necessary. POSITION REQUIREMENTS 5+ years' experience in mold repair preferred. Hot manifold knowledge highly recommended. Knowledge of the following equipment: Lathes, milling machines, grinding machines, EDM machine, Bridgeport, power saws, hydraulic and manual arbor and all other toolroom equipment and practices. Ability work from SolidWorks CAD, read blueprints, engineering sketches, specification sheets, samples, and verbal instructions. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PP, & Word) Experience working with injection mold construction and repairs. Good written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
