This position will perform various assembly-related operations involving electronic, electro-mechanical and mechanical components, sub-assemblies and final assembly levels. This may include strain gage bonding, wiring & soldering, calibration, test, potting, general mechanical assembly and other activities. Regular hour schedule for this this position is Monday - Thursday 6:00 AM - 4:30 PM with ½ hr lunch each day. Overtime is scheduled when needed, extending into Fridays and on occasion Saturdays. Overtime is typically shorter workdays when scheduled. **What You Will Do** + Operate a variety of power tools, hand tools, lift assist devices, material moving equipment as appropriate. + Work at a variety of workstations and on a variety of products. + Retrieve parts from a variety of heights including floor or overhead. + Read and comprehend drawings, work-aids and safety documents. + Practice good safety and housekeeping skills, including active participation in 5S program and Continuous Improvement activities. + Periodically work with materials designated as potentially hazardous. A Line Tech Lead by KHMS definition is a department maintenance Trio member. Trio, is a partnership between Production Supervisor (Process Owner), Continuous Improvement Leads (CI) and the Maintenance Lead. Trio objectives include providing the shop floor with the tools and systems needed to drive engagement, performance & a zero loss state. They will do so while safely delivering planned production without defects, every time, while minimizing cost. Ensures maintenance and repair work is completed safely, effectively, and in a timely manner. Assists team members with technical issues or advanced problems with given assignments. Inspects work performed by team members. Parts and materials are analyzed for defects and proper fitment. The Line Tech Lead will help with the load leveling of PM's as they pertain to Line Tech workload. This employee will develop the maintenance capability of the Line Tech Team by serving as a technical coach and resource. They will Coach line operating teams on technical aspects of equipment. The Lead spends time on the floor gathering information on breakdowns, defects, and work order completions over the past 24 hours. The Maintenance Technician is responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, installing, and performing routine, corrective and preventative maintenance of all production equipment, machinery within the facility, as well as facility infrastructure and grounds. What We Are Looking For: * High School diploma or GED required; technical or vocational training preferred. * Maintenance experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting. * Strong knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems, PLC troubleshooting a plus. * Willingness/ability to attend formal training courses to learn new skills and acquire licensure's as necessary. * Has or able to complete Low-pressure boiler certification through the state of Minnesota * Able to read blueprints, schematics, mechanical drawings, and technical manuals. * Knowledge of OSHA Requirements to include electrical safety, machine guarding, and authorized lockout/tagout procedures. * Basic working knowledge of computer software, email, excel, word and internet. * Excellent problem-solving and communication skills. * Possess strong work ethic, is a self-starter, has good attendance and works successfully in team settings. * Valid driver's license Physical Requirements/Working Conditions: * Possess dexterity and flexibility to allow for work around various machines that require crawling, kneeling, reaching, bending, and standing. Must be able to stand for a full shift (8 hours). * Standard schedule 6AM - 2:30PM, with ability to flex schedule occasionally * Ability to operate all types of hand and power tools. * Wear all required PPE * Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus. * Ability to lift up to 50 pounds sporadically.
