Duties & Responsibilities:
* Perform duties to fill and empty machines, transport finished product, components, or raw material within molding/automation department and throughout plant area.
o Other duties include mixing materials, emptying grinder pans, sweeping and clean-up, operator relief, operate hand and lift truck, and production equipment, assist set-up technician with mold set-ups, automation changeovers, troubleshooting, minor repairs, and all paperwork associated.
* Maintain the responsibility neatly and organized, including returning partial containers of material to their proper storage area.
* Make material / color changes in a timely manner, to include leaving the workstation clean and organized.
* Maintain a proper flow of material to area of responsibility so that operation does not cease for lack of supplies.
* Ensure product is stored and utilized in FIFO mode.
* Perform problem-solving techniques in evaluating material vacuum/drying system problems.
* Move, wrap and label finished product when directed.
* Document lot control where required.
* Removes any old labels from gaylords, boxes and totes.
* Maintain proper rotation of raw material/components.
* Report inventory of raw goods to the materials team weekly by doing a physical inventory in the rack area.
* Follow all safety guidelines.
* Ensure accuracy of materials placed inside the room and back into inventory using ERP System.
Equipment and tools used (but not limited to):
Hand and lift trucks, hand tools, grinders, scales, and drying equipment.
Qualifications:
* High school diploma or GED required
* 1 to 3 years of job-related experience in a manufacturing environment.
* Must be able to read, write, and communicate verbally with good organizational skills required.

* Ability to read and write English
* Attention to detail, organization, and strong multitasking abilities
* Must have basic computer skills

This individual will champion the use of the Divisional Quality Management System, drive a culture change away from quality control and towards quality assurance, leverage analytics and strategic decision making to drive continuous improvement, and lead a team of quality professionals and inspectors. This position will be responsible for the quality function at the assigned manufacturing location and for quality communication for key customers of those sites, and the division.

Customer-Facing Metrics (CFM) - Drive actions to improve performance to CFMs
+ On-Time Delivery - Ensure management of processes to help improve compliance to customer requested delivery dates and investigation of late deliveries to promote improvement.

Job Description
This position, Field Service Technician, supports the success of the organization by providing world class technical service and support to our customers. This position will demonstrate excellent technical repair, installation, start-up and troubleshooting to the ITW Hartness product lines and Meurer equipment. This position will support the customers of ITW Hartness team by providing on-site support while collaborating cross-functionally and exceeding customer service expectations. + Exercise all elements of supervision directly and on a delegated basis in selection and orientation of new employees, assigning duties and responsibilities, evaluating performance, recommending personnel actions, and maintaining a high degree of morale and effectiveness within the work force reporting to him/her.
+ Recommends, through Capital Expenditure process, the purchase of new equipment after compiling justification data. Reviews various types of equipment with qualifying characteristics, appraises their capabilities, and recommends to the Operations Director purchase of selected equipment.
+ Reviews recommendations to modify, replace or scrap molds, machines, and special tooling which are causing production problems and completes appropriate approval processes to complete as required.
+ Consults with Manufacturing, Sales, Pricing, and Project Engineering team members to review and resolve any problems relating to quality, cost, or major orders of a sensitive nature.
+ Attends scheduled production and quality meetings to review operations and discuss quality problems. Reviews complaints involving products manufactured and takes necessary steps to make corrections.
+ Prepares a Production operating budget for review, approval, and inclusion by the Director of Operations in a consolidated divisional budget. Conducts activities of the department to maintain conformance to budgetary limitations and reviews monthly variance statements with the Division Controller to identify areas for improvement. Reviews long range plan of the division and directs the department activities to achieve these objectives.
+ Keeps up to date on new developments, processes, material applications, and equipment within the plastics and assemblies fields.
+ Resolves personnel problems in conjunction with appropriate supervisor and Human Resources and takes actionin accordance with established policies and procedures.

**Compensation Information:**
This compensation range is provided as a reasonable estimate of the current salary range for this role. Compensation depends on relevant experience and/or education, specific skills, market level, other job-related factors, geographic location, and other factors as applicable by law.
_Pay Range_ : $120,000 - $155,000 annual salary plus 15% AIP bonus eligibility

ITW Hartness is looking for motivated individuals to enter our Technical Scholar program with an interest in learning to work as a Mechanical/Electrical Technician in our Assembly team and travel to customer sites across the United States for Field Support.
