Position Overview
We are looking for an experienced CNC Mill Machinist to set up and operate CNC milling machines in a fast-paced production environment. This position is responsible for executing precise milling operations, editing programs, setting tooling, and inspecting complex parts with tight tolerances. The ideal candidate is self-sufficient, mechanically inclined, and focused on maintaining consistent quality and productivity.
Key Responsibilities
• Set up and run CNC mills based on job specifications
• Read and interpret blueprints, layouts, and setup documentation to determine part requirements
• Select appropriate tooling, set tool offsets, and verify part dimensions using precision measuring instruments
• Make minor edits to CNC programs to ensure optimal machining results
• Inspect first-run and in-process parts to confirm dimensional accuracy and compliance

Job Summary:

Must be able to perform own setups, measure parts that consistently result in precision quality parts.
Large overhead crane experience and move large work pieces.
Must be able to edit G and M-codes, trouble shoot jobs and make adjustments as required.

Summary: Journeyman (usually 3 years and above documented field experience). Adheres and cuts as per site specifications. Responsible for general cleaning of fabrication area. Must be able to follow instruction and be able to read/follow prints for the install/dismantle of insulation and metal shielding of piping and other equipment.
1. CUT INSULATION TO SPECIFIED SIZE USING ELECTRIC BANDSAWS AND ABRASIVE WHEELS.
2. ADHERE INSULATION MATERIAL TO PROPER SIZE AND ANGLES USING ADHESIVE PRIOR TO CUTTING. 3. LOAD FINISHED INSULATION PIECES IN BOXES TO BE SENT TO ORDER SITE.
4. RETRIEVE NECESSARY SUPPLIES FROM WAREHOUSE USING FORKLIFT TO TRANSPORT.
5. MUST READ AND WRITE TO FOLLOW ORDER SPECIFICATIONS AND TO LABEL FINISHED PRODUCT.
6. UTILIZE BASIC MATH SKILLS TO FOLLOW ORDER SPECIFICATIONS.
7. CAPABLE OF VERBAL OR WRITTEN COMMUNCATION WITH OTHERS REGARDING JOB TASKS AND WORK PROCEDURES.
8. RESPONSIBLE FOR CLEANING OF AREA AFTER CUTTING.
9. RESPONSIBLE FOR CHECKING OPERATIONAL CONDITION OF EQUIPMENT PRIOR TO USE AND PERFORMING REGULAR MAINTENANCE AS NEEDED (i.e., LUBRICANT, CHANGING BLADES, ETC.) 10. FOLLOWS SAFETY REGULATIONS AND SPECIFICATIONS AS OUTLINED BY COMPANY REGARDING HANDLING OF MATERIALS AND OPERATION OF EQUIPMENT.

Prototype Machinist

What you'll do:
As a Prototype Machinist- you will work with a variety of manual machines such as Mills and Lathes to create small quantities of custom medical devices.
Making Parts with Conversational CNC and Manual Machines: Can you work from technical drawings and solid models to produce a variety of complex prototype and production components? Can you use manual mills and lathes to make parts? Can you look at a part and come up with a plan to make it?
Conversational programming experience is a plus. Many of our machines have Conversational controls, which can also run g code, or be operated manually.
Exposure to complex, tight tolerance, and finely finished machined components and/or assemblies. Knowledge of Medical Device is a plus.
Cutting tool and toolpath knowledge.
What you need to thrive in this role
High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
Prior experience with CNC Machining
Understanding of machining principles, cutting tools selection and material properties.
Ability to read and understand blueprints including GD&T tolerancing with profile tolerancing preferred.
Dependability - Follows instructions, responds to management direction.
Problem-Solving Skills: Identifying and resolving issues encountered during machining process.
Safety and Security - Observes safety and security procedures; reports potentially unsafe conditions; uses equipment and materials properly.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned:
Program, set-up, and operate a variety of machine tools including CNC lathes, CNC mills, Wire EDM, and various manual (mill, lathe, surface grinder) equipment.
Identify materials and tooling required to produce prototype parts, tooling, fixtures, gages, etc.
Follow all documented
Work closely with engineering to design and develop fixtures, gauges
Perform other duties as required/assigned.
Core Competencies:
Detail oriented, strong analytical, numerical, planning and reasoning abilities
Swiss Turn Lathe CNC experience/programming is a
5-axis milling experience/programming is a plus
read, analyze and interpret complex manufacturing documents
Strong Manufacturing background (CNC/Metal cutting)

Qualifications:
