Account Executives work closely with Producers in closing new business while leading an account service team that provides the best overall benefits solutions and consultation for our clients. The AE continually seeks ways to improve their knowledge of the industry to maintain a level of expertise for the team and clients.
What You'll Do:
Supports and demonstrates IMA's core values

Client Management
Leads both long- and short-term strategic consultation and planning efforts for client benefit programs
Ensures programs and plan design are in alignment with all applicable regulatory requirements
Utilizes intermediate knowledge of actuarial concepts and underwriting practices to analyze claims data and provide applied explanation to the client and internal team
Directs the service teams' work assignments related to project management, claims escalation and resolution, and plan analysis/reporting
Carrier and Vendor Relationships
Develops strong carrier and vendor relationships to support and leads negotiation and advocacy during client coverage placement and renewal process, utilizing department peers and/or leadership as necessary
Coordinates with internal subject matter experts and practice leaders to bring current and emerging markets and products and brings solutions to the table that are aligned with clients' stated goals through a commitment to continuous learning
Production Partnership
Participates in finalist and/or prospect meetings in partnership with production staff as appropriate
Participates in the development of prospect requests for proposals (RFPs), providing personnel responses and other information as requested
Partners with production staff to ensure compensation received is properly executed
Internal Resource
Availability to serve as a resource for other agency benefits staff throughout the entire benefits division
Strong commitment to participation in department or agency-wide committees and special projects
People Management
May coordinate and manage the overall work and projects of assigned associates, providing clear communication of expectations, established timeframes, regular progress updates, and annual performance evaluations
Participates in the hiring process for direct reports as well as additional department hires as needed
Provides feedback to service team members, and their direct supervisors as needed, in support of on-going professional development goals, ensuring client expectations are met
You Should Have:
5+ years of similar or related experience required
Demonstrates above average business acumen related to strategy execution, interdependencies, and decision consequences
Demonstrates positive mindset and ability to optimize performance through collaboration
Demonstrates consistent ability to adapt in stressful situations and develop strategies for improvements in organizational effectiveness

Benefits:

Compensation:

* Temporarily back up AM as needed. Clients should not feel a gap in service knowledge.

* Responsible for loss analysis and loss specific tasks related to invoicing, trending, tracking and reconciliation.
* Responsible for assigned special client needs i.e. allocation spreadsheets (monthly, quarterly, annually or as requested) whether specific line of coverage or all lines of coverage based on entities, locations or ownership of property.
* Utilizes the AMS to keep detailed information on accounts (uploading policies, inputting large schedules, driver lists, etc.)
* Controls industry specific reporting (well reporting, builder's risk, etc.)
* Reviews certificate of insurance requests & provides direction to COE related to invoicing allocations, surplus lines, policy processing, master COIs, and client specific instructions for customized Auto ID cards, billings, etc.
* Other general tasks include endorsement processing & billing, reviewing notice of cancellations, analysis of loss data within Experience Mods, deductible analysis and participation in internal review meetings and other meetings as requested.
* Ability to work independently, lead project special assignments.

You Should Have
