Job Overview The Production Support position provides hands-on assistance across multiple departments in our metal finishing and plating facility. This flexible, multi-skilled role helps maintain production flow by filling in where needed. Reports to the Assistant Plant Manager & Plant Manager. Responsibilities * Read and comprehend specific work instructions * Perform support tasks in various production areas based on daily operational needs. * Prepare, rack, and un-rack metal parts for plating or surface treatments. * Assist in masking operations using tapes, lacquers, or other methods to protect areas from processing. Assist with cleaning, drying, packaging, and labeling of completed parts. * Support electroless nickel plating operations, including solution maintenance and part handling. * Participate in passivation and chemfilm processes, following all chemical handling protocols. * Operate etching tanks and related equipment safely and accurately * Perform basic inspections of parts for quality and conformance to specifications. * Various types of Respirators are required for this position. Job Overview Racks parts in preparation for wet processing. Removes parts from rack after wet processing is completed and packs them per the work instructions. Job Overview Performs wet processes, and related racking and testing procedures necessary to supply our customer with high quality plating. Reports to the department Supervisor & Plant Manager. Responsibilities * Read and comprehend specific work instructions. * Maintaining proper plating bath chemistries, including performance of chemical titration's, basic auto-controller operation and temperature probe operation. * Upkeep plating area and all equipment through proper operation and handling procedures, such as keeping all hoses rolled, dragging tanks at end of shift, removal of empty drums, etc. * Visual in-process inspection and adhesion testing. * Proper performance of tasks required within the plating process like Testing and control of plating thickness. * Proper packaging of completed customer parts when required. * Utilize safe methods of handling material, including chemicals, required in all aspects of the plating process. * Various types of Respirators are required for this position. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITY Level 1 * Have the skills and knowledge to process parts and perform equipment standardization in accordance with written instructions approved by the appropriate level 3. * Have the skill and knowledge to carry out any necessary preparation of parts before and after inspection in accordance with written instructions approved by the appropriate level 3. * Be able to follow written instructions in the techniques/methods for which certified. "NDT" Technician Training and Qualifications QIP-18-005 * Receive guidance or supervision from a level 2 or 3 in that method when necessary. * With written authorization from the responsible Level 3, a Level 1 may perform interpretations and evaluations of specific product or product form for acceptance or rejection in the method in which certified in accordance with written instructions approved by the appropriate Level 3. All Level 1 personnel that perform acceptance or rejection evaluations on Honeywell product shall be submitted to Honeywell for approval prior to performing the evaluations. Level 2 * Have the skills and knowledge to set up and standardize equipment, conduct tests, interpret and evaluate for acceptance or rejection, and document. * Be thoroughly familiar with the scope and limitations of the technique/method in which they are certified. * Be capable of providing the necessary guidance and/or supervision to trainees and level 1 personnel in the technique/method in which they are certified. * Be capable of developing written instructions from approved general procedures. Such instructions shall require final approval by a Level 3. * Be familiar with the codes, standards, and other contractual documents that control the method as utilized. * Have a basic knowledge of product manufacturing and inspection technology. JOB LEVEL This position operates as a Level II Inspector and reports directly to the company's Level III Inspector for guidance. The position may also report to the facility plant manager as needed when working at a location where the Level III is not on site. KNOWLEDGE / EXPERIENCE * Must possess basic knowledge of product manufacturing and inspection technology. * Must have all applicable NDT training hours accomplished. * Must pass appropriate levels of NDT certification, as applicable to the position. JOB COMPLEXITY Assignments are moderately complex in nature where advanced problem solving, prioritizing, and communicating with all levels of plant and management personnel is a necessity. SUPERVISION Receives little or minimal guidance with respect to general objectives; in the majority of tasks and projects assigned, work sequence, scheduling, and how to achieve objectives of assignments; operates within specific policy guidelines. OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES * Participate in a proactive team effort to achieve departmental and company goals * Perform other duties as assigned * Provide leadership to others through example and sharing of knowledge/skill CONTINUING EDUCATION The individual is encouraged to complete 24 hours of job related training per year. This may be completed by university level courses or seminars as approved by the Director of Operations. TRAVEL Local and overnight travel may be required.
