East Campus: CT Scan - (Full-time, Evening Shift) -

The Computed Tomography (CT) Imaging Specialist provides nurturing, compassionate and personalized patient-centered care in an environment that focuses on healing body, mind and spirit. Works under the supervision of the Radiology Director. Performs Computed Tomography procedures utilizing specialized equipment for Radiographic Imaging and recording. Along with other members of the Radiographic team, maintains responsibility for patient care. These services may be provided for both the LLUMC and LLUCH hospitals. Performs other duties as needed.

Graduate from an accredited two year American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) approved program in Radiologic Technology. Computed Tomography (CT) Registry eligible and must be taken within six month of hire date. Minimum of one year of experience in Computed Tomography (CT) preferred. Certified Radiologic Technologist (CRT), American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT), and Basic Life Support (BLS) required.

Has the ability and knowledge to operate all appropriate computed tomography equipment and procedures. Able to read; write legibly; speak in English (and Spanish preferred) with professional quality; use computer, printer, and software programs necessary to the position, and operate all appropriate Radiology equipment. Excellent interpersonal skills in dealing with patients of all ages, physicians and co-workers. Able to relate and communicate positively, effectively and professionally with others; work calmly and respond courteously when under pressure; accept direction. Able to communicate effectively in English in person, in writing, and on the telephone; think critically; manage multiple assignments effectively; organize and prioritize workload; work well under pressure; problem solve; recall information with accuracy; pay close attention to detail; work independently with minimal supervision. Ability to communicate effectively about complex matters with others. Ability to hear sufficiently for general conversation in person and on the telephone, identify and distinguish various sounds associated with workplace/patient care; see adequately to read computer screens, medical records and written documents necessary to the position; discern temperature variances through touch.

• • Graduate of AMA approved school of ultrasound. • 2 years OB/GYN experience • Must become proficient in fetal echos within 1 year of hire date

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required:

• • Good skills in OB/GYN and pelvic ultrasound exams • Good skills in endovaginal scanning. • Good skills in OB/GYN color duplex scanning. • Good skills and knowledge of pathology in high risk OB/GYN imaging.
• • ARDMS-Registered in OB • Certified in performing Nuchal Translucency • CPR certification

Physicial Requirements and Working Conditions:

• • Requires good judgment, needs, reliability, responsibility, independent thought and action. • Extreme flexibility in working hours. • Standing for long periods of time. • Perform emergency procedures as required. • Moving of equipment to bedside. • Additional Information: • Attend additional in-services to keep up with 30 hours accreditation. • Attend annual in-services on fire safety, infection control to meet department safety requirements. -Strong oral and written communication skills -Strong organizational skills -Knowledge of cross sectional anatomy
• If position has direct patient care or direct patient contact the following lifting requirement supersedes any previous lifting requirement effective 06/01/2015. Ability to lift up to 35 pounds without assistance. For patient lifts of over 35 pounds, or when patient is unable to assist with the lift, patient handling equipment is expected to be used, with at least one other associate, when available. Unique patient lifting/movement situations will be assessed on a case-by-case basis.

Your job as the inhouse X-Ray Imaging Specialist is to handle the components crucial for x-ray image acquisition. You will also work on improvements to the imaging process and related tasks like calibration or finding suitable setups and/or settings for certain customer projects.
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities
Support for applications team in finding suitable setups for new and existing customer projects/products Development of a software tool for determining the application-specific image quality (SNR, …) Development of software modules controlling x-ray imaging components Characterization of components for x-ray imaging (especially detector and tube technology) Keeping a current overview over market and research developments concerning x-ray components Improvement of existing and development of new imaging techniques for industrial x-ray:CalibrationFilteringApproaches to 3D x-ray imaging

Education and Experience Requirements
University degree or comparable Sophisticated experience in handling x-ray components and understanding of the x-ray imaging process Experience in (x-ray) image processing

Skills and Abilities
Programming skills preferably in C#Fluency in spoken and written English preferably also German
