1998 The origins Development and implementation of the Landmine Impact Survey Initiative
2001 iMMAP Creation iMMAP was created in 2001 as a unit of the Vietnam Veterans of America Foundation (VVAF), offering direct support to non-mine action humanitarian and development organizations.
2003 Expansion beyond Humanitarian Mine Action iMMAP supports the establishment of the United Nations's Humanitarian Information Management Centre in Iraq with OCHA.
On June 30, 2006, iMMAP incorporates as a not-for-profit 501 c3 organization, headquartered in Washington D.C., with country offices in South Asia, South East Asia, Middle East and North Africa, West Africa and South America.

2021 Current Global Presence By 2021, iMMAP is present worldwide in countries such as Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Cameroon, Colombia, DRC, Ethiopia, Iraq, Jordan, Malawi, Nigeria, Syria, and Yemen, in addition to USA and France headquarters.
