Prior to that, he served as an Executive Producer of investigations and special projects for KNXV-TV, the Scripps-owned ABC affiliate in Phoenix. He also has worked as an investigative producer for two CBS-owned stations, WBBM-TV in Chicago and KCBS-TV in Los Angeles and specialized in breaking news and political coverage while working as an independent producer for CBS News and NBC News. He has been a Director of The E. W. Scripps Company since May 2, 2017. Mr. Symson has a Bachelor's Degree in communications from the University of California in Los Angeles.
