EPIC Substitute Teachers provide high school level instruction to students who are age 18 and over during the absence of EPIC Teachers. May utilize remote instruction from learning centers throughout the state of California, principally in the following counties: Nevada County, Riverside County, Monterey County, Kern County, Los Angeles County (Antelope Valley), Merced County, Ventura County, and Butte County. ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES includes, but not limited to the following. Other duties and responsibilities may be assigned.
Prepare multiple subject lessons, with lesson plans, in varied core classes to a diverse student population in a self-contained classroom setting.
Implement online multiple subject courses utilizing the Canvas learning management system.
Observe, evaluate, and assess adult student performance and development in an online and/or in-class environment.
Assign and grade online and in-class work, projects, tests and assignments.
May maintain a classroom gradebook in the Aeries student information system using accepted standard grading criteria.
Maintain and submit appropriate and required student records in a timely manner.
In coordination with the school counselor, provide information to students relative to employment, career opportunities and continuing education.
Manage a self-contained classroom setting when applicable, and encourage students to set and maintain standards of classroom behavior. Participate in development of activities designed to promote an innovative learning experience for students.
Conduct culturally relevant online classes appropriate for diverse adult students from a variety of cultural, ethnic, linguistic, and economic backgrounds.

POSITION SCOPE

Minimum Qualifications for GS-05
Specialized Experience: You must have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-04 level in the Federal service that included experience such as:
* Performing recordkeeping and reporting.
* Compiling, maintaining, and updating automated records.
* Responding to requests for procedural information.

Education substitution:
You must have successfully completed four years of education above high school in any field for which high school graduation or the equivalent is the normal prerequisite. This education was obtained in an accredited business, secretarial or technical school, junior college, college, or university. One year of full-time academic study is defined as 30 semester hours, 45 quarter hours, or the equivalent in a college or university, or at least 20 hours of classroom instruction per week for approximately 36 weeks in a business, secretarial, or technical school.

Combination of Education and Experience:
You must have an appropriate combination of successfully completed post-high school education and experience to meet the total qualification requirements for the GS-05 grade level. Only education in excess of the first 60 semester hours (i.e., beyond the second year) is creditable toward meeting the specialized experience requirement. One full academic year of study (30 semester hours) beyond the second year is equivalent to 6 months of specialized experience. This will be calculated using your resume and unofficial transcripts or a list of courses/course hours submitted with your application
Minimum Qualifications for GS-06
Specialized Experience: You must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent in difficulty and responsibility to the GS-05 level in the Federal service that included experience such as:
* Processing individuals arrested or detained by law enforcement officials (e.g., booking and property inventory procedures).
* Performing file searches and assembling documentation.
* Responding to routine requests and issues regarding legal or law enforcement policies, practices and procedures.
Typing Requirement
In addition to meeting the minimum qualification requirements, you must show possession of the ability to type at least 40 words per minute based on a 5-minute sample, with three or fewer errors. You may self-certify your proficiency in the Occupational Questionnaire.

Support the Community Manager with all aspects of asset management, including the implementation of budgets, financial reports, and cost control measures.
Oversee the leasing process for available apartments, from initial inquiries to move-ins, ensuring a smooth and positive experience for new residents.
Maintain and update accurate resident files, ensuring compliance with company policies and regulations.
Assist with marketing and advertising to fill vacancies in the apartment community.
Ensure that the community is operating at maximum occupancy by engaging with prospective residents, conducting apartment tours, and processing applications.
Handle resident relations by addressing concerns, providing excellent customer service, and fostering a positive living environment.
Ensure that all leased apartments are properly documented and maintain accurate move-in/move-out records.
Collaborate with the Community Manager to enforce community policies and regulations, ensuring compliance with fair housing laws and housing guidelines.
Perform general office tasks including scheduling, answering resident inquiries, and managing resident communication.
Assist with organizing resident events and building community relationships.
Be prepared to assume the role of person-in-charge in the absence of the Community Manager, ensuring the continued smooth operation of the community.

Who You Are: (Requirements of the Position)
You have 1-2 years of experience in affordable apartment communities.
You have 1-2 years of supervisory experience preferred.
Experience with affordable properties, HUD, Low Income Tax Credit (LIHTC), Permanent Supportive Housing (PSH), Section 8, Senior, Rural Development is required
You have a strong understanding of the day-to-day operations of a multi-family apartment community, including leasing, financial reporting, and resident services.
You have demonstrated success in maintaining high occupancy rates in apartment communities.
You can provide exceptional customer service and can effectively multitask in a fast-paced environment.
You have excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact with residents, vendors, and team members professionally.
You have proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and Outlook; experience with Yardi and/or MRI is a plus.
You are physically able to lift and carry items weighing up to 25 pounds.
You possess a valid driver's license and proof of automobile liability insurance coverage.

Professional Expert - Math Tutor

* Provide expert guidance to Learning Services Department tutoring services, contributing to professional development, learning techniques, and DEIA (Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Accessibility) practices. * Support the department's goals for higher retention and success under the direction of the assigned supervisor and Library Director.
* The position allows for up to 21 hours per week, not to exceed 980 hours in a year.
* Hours are based on department needs and are not guaranteed. Schedules will be determined by the supervisor.
* This is an "at-will" position, meaning either party may terminate the employment relationship at any time.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
* Tutoring Support: Tutor in various subjects based on expertise and student needs.
* Program Proficiency: Maintain proficiency with departmental programs.
* Operational Assistance: Aid in the daily operations of the tutoring center as needed.
* Outreach and Marketing: Contribute to the marketing and promotion of tutoring services.

* Associate's degree or higher AND
* A minimum of one year of tutoring experience;

BASIC FUNCTION
The Professional Expert-Tutor reports to the assigned supervisor and the Library & Learning Services Director. Performance assessments are conducted by the Learning Services Department Coordinator through direct observation of tutoring activities.
