Childcare Attendants are responsible for the wellbeing of children ages 6 week to 12 years within their care and maintaining a safe and fun environment. Scope of Responsibilities:
Implementation of the daily program, which will include activities that are developmentally appropriate, performed in collaboration with peers to compliment supervision of children
Supervise and lead the activity areas
Assist in planning and preparing the activities
Organize and set up needed materials and supplies
Sanitize toys and play equipment
Maintain a safe play environment
Support the YMCA's mission and center operations as needed
Ensure the proper ratios are maintained
Minimum Requirements:
Must have prior experience working with children.
Passion for and commitment to the YMCA's mission and vision
Ability to build rapport with children, parents and families of diverse backgrounds.
Commitment to, and a passion for, the YMCA of Metro Chicago's mission
Demonstrates evidence of YMCA team competencies in previous experience or practice.

We are hiring caring, dependable and trustworthy pet lovers to join our dynamic team. We offer flexible, “as needed” Overnight Dog/House-sitter positions that work well as supplemental income.
Job Description
Is this a good fit for you? We are looking for candidates who:
Love Animals! You don't need prior animal work experience, but should enjoy providing companionship to dogs, cats and other little critters.
Enjoy being outside in all four seasons and the weather that comes with them! (Rain, snow, heat, cold, wind...)
Live near our service area: Because Heaven Sent does not compensate for travel time/commute, we are mainly interested in candidates who live in or near (within 10-15 miles) one of our service areas (Wilmette, Evanston, or Kenilworth).
Provide excellent customer service through personalized notes, photos, and messages
Enjoy walking and are able to handle the activity level of walking dogs for 3-5 walks per day (1½ - 2½ hours). You must be able to do so with a focus on safety
Have strength to safely control dogs of all sizes and breeds. (It's a plus if you can manage 2 dogs at a time (from one household))
Qualifications
Requirements:
OVERNIGHT STAYS: must sleep over in client's home with client's animals from 7pm-7am (at a minimum).
Available Holidays: be available to house-sit during the entire week for at lease 2 of our “Premium Holidays” (Thanksgiving, Christmas/New Year's and Spring Break)
Equipment Needed: (1) smartphone with data plan and (2) reliable insured car (preferred)
Background & References: must (1) be at least 21 years old; (2) provide personal and professional references; (3) submit previous employers for verification; and (4) willing to submit to background check if a position is offered
Pet Care: able to manage (1) all pet feedings & medications; (2) other tasks such as bringing in mail/newspaper, plant care, cleaning up messes (ie: hairballs, accidents), and (3) keeping the home in order while clients away.
