Job Relationships:
Reports to: Kids Center Supervisor, and Kids Center Team Leads
Supervises: Approximately 10-40 children in our child care facilities each day
Job Specifications:
Previous childcare experience preferred, not required
Desire and ability to provide quality care to children of all ages and find it rewarding and enjoyable
At least two positive references on file; three references preferred
Proof of current MMR and TB vaccinations
Acceptable information regarding criminal history background (Post offer - Pre hire)
Specific Duties:
Participate in training as required
Take reservations and record information correctly, posting all allergies and special instructions for all workers to view
Transition children into the facility positively and successfully engage them in an activity
Provide helpful, friendly, and dependable customer service to parents and other guests
Use a good level of discretion with customer information and operating procedures
Maintain a respectful attitude towards fellow employees and guests
Demonstrate working knowledge and understanding of infants', toddlers', and children's behaviors and basic needs
Use appropriate disciplinary tactics with children, with kindness and respect
Diaper and/or potty train children according to age levels and day care standards and safety regulations
Keep the play area presentable at all times and report needed supplies to the manager
Instruct children in activities designed to promote social, physical, spiritual, emotional, and intellectual growth
Facilitate integration with Ski & Ride School:
Understand daily lesson products and local Jr Programs
Help get kids dressed for lessons and escort them to the meeting area as needed
Assist others in working towards common goals, work as a cooperative team member, and be reliable to other team members
Answer all questions regarding child care or direct them to the appropriate person if unable to answer
Demonstrate patience in stressful situations

**General Position Summary:**
The Direct Support Professional (DSP) will provide support to residents in our Adult Residential Services Program and/or Day Support Activities. The DSP has hands-on responsibility for promoting and enhancing the development of each resident, enabling skill acquisition to occur and for assuring the overall health, safety, and Adult Daily Living (ADL's) activities for all residents.

**Minimum Requirements**
- High School Diploma/GED *preferred* or any equivalent basic reading, writing, computer and math skills. Work related knowledge and experience is a plus.
- Be able to lift up to 65 pounds for a total of up to 130 pounds in a two-person lift.
- Ability to push/pull 1-55lbs.
- Reliable transportation, valid driver's license (or the ability to obtain a valid Oregon driver license within 30 days of hire) and a driving record that permits coverage under the agency's corporate auto liability policy and personal automobile liability insurance coverage.
- Proof of COVID-19 vaccination or valid exception.
**Preferred Qualification, Skills, Knowledge and Abilities**
- Basic knowledge of Individual Support Plans, Emergency Response Procedures, OAR applicable standards and other state requirements, Self Determination Principles and Practices, Person/Resident Rights
- Knowledge regarding Adult Residential Services Program policies, procedures, and statement of purpose.
- Ability to obtain CPR and First Aid certification and all other required CCS training. Ability to communicate effectively (written and oral) and appropriately with verbal or non-verbal individuals.
- Ability to follow nurse, physician, dental, and health care professional's direction for care.
- Ability to gather data and document accurately in written and electronic format.

**Essential Position Functions and Key Work Processes**
Under the supervision of Adult Resident Services Supervisor and the daily direction and monitoring of the Shift Coordinator. Performs the following essential functions:
- Relate to residents in a continuous, consistent, warm, caring, age-appropriate manner.
- Perform personal care activities with all residents as needed including but not limited to: personal hygiene care, brushing teeth, brushing hair, bathing/showering, toileting, changing adult incontinence pads, feeding (oral and gastric tube-*if prescribed*), dressing and any other activities of daily living for adults.
- Responsible for implementing the training programs and developmental activities that comprise the Individual Support of each medically fragile or behavioral resident and for responding appropriately to immediate or urgent or emergent resident needs, such as injuries and illness and provide or obtain assistance as needed.
- Provide resident medication administration according to agency policy as ordered and assigned by personal care physician.
- Document the progress of each resident using approved data collection methods to maintain accurate records of the expenditure of agency and personal funds.
- Perform household cleaning and maintenance tasks including but not limited to: sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, cleaning toilets/sinks, washing windows, washing dishes, washing/folding laundry to assure the residents' environment meets or exceeds established standards for health and safety.
- Participate in residents care plans by facilitating and/or performing meal preparation in accordance with dietician orders, shopping, purchasing, planning of recreational/entertainment activities and accompany residents during such activities.
- Maintain confidentiality of all resident records and information to adhere to agency policy, county and state regulations.
- Maintain a safe working environment by using safe lifting techniques at all times, wearing required personal protective equipment (PPE's) and fully participating in emergency evacuation drills, reporting all staff related injuries to the supervisor by the end of the shift on which they occur, and report hazardous conditions or other safety and health concerns to the supervisor immediately when observed as required by Occupational Safety and Health Act (OSHA).
- Assist and/or mentor in the orientation and training of another staff. Attend and actively participate in agency and resident related meetings and during in-service training opportunities.
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned by immediate supervisor.

**Homemaker w/Possible Home Health Aide - Health Department** /DEPARTMENT: The County Health Department protects and promotes the health of county citizens and the environment through the efforts of dedicated and skilled employees and application of sound public health principle. The department's role is to identify community health problems; diagnose and investigate health problems and health hazards in the community; and enforce laws and regulations that protect health and ensure safety. Under general supervision, the employee will evaluate and counsel clients regarding nutritional needs and performs in-home personal care for clients.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- One year of experience in a health care environment or an acceptable combination of education and experience
- Have, or ability to obtain, and maintain a valid Montana driver's license

- Daily documentation of services and patient care and assess the condition of the patient
- The majority of the work time is spent in client homes assisting with light housekeeping, and assisting with patient bathing, dressing and personal care
- Assist in taking patient histories, take vital signs as appropriate and record in patient charts
- Assist with non-invasive routine patient care procedures
- Provide in home care to patients including bathing, assistance with activities of daily living, sometimes in stressful situations
- Collect fees and deliver to health department
- Prepare time, mileage and service reports; attend meetings

Will work 25 - 35 hours per week, Monday - Friday.
