Full-time Description Our Mission: To create exceptional patient experiences. The TGH Urgent Care powered by Fast Track Physician Medical Director performs physical exams and partners with patients to create appropriate, evidence-based, medical treatment plans. Additionally, the Medical Director collaborates with the providers and Clinical Management team on patient cases and offers ongoing mentorship and supervision to Advanced Practice Providers (APRN/PA). The Medical Director assists with the direction and delivery of medical care and is responsible for maintaining relationships and coordinating activities of all providers, clinical staff, and operations. Additionally, the Medical Director assists with the oversight of the development of clinically relevant education, training, and process improvement. Requirements Job Responsibilities: Provide evidence-based, episodic care to patients based on current guidelines - independently and in collaboration with other medical providers - following standards and protocols set by TGH Urgent Care powered by Fast Track. Work within a defined scope of practice and under the authority of supervising physician(s) or by specific protocol(s). Function independently to perform age-appropriate history and physical examinations. Order and interpret diagnostic tests as needed. Partner with patients to determine, plan, and initiate appropriate treatment, and adjust treatment if necessary. Safely prescribes and/or dispenses medications. Document medical information of patients and reviews patients' histories at each visit. Evaluate response to treatments and medications. Consults, collaborates, and refers with other health care providers when appropriate. Counsels' patients and performs patient education. Perform minor procedures, i.e., laceration repair, incision and drainage, minor foreign body removal, etc. within the limitations outlined in the company protocols. Manage pediatric (3 months +) and adult patients for both acute and chronic conditions. Actively maintain knowledge of current medical research and trends. Provides administrative support or cross-coverage for reviewing laboratory tests, results, and prescription clarifications when needed. Other duties as assigned. Complete scheduled training as required. Check equipment on a regular basis to ensure it is not hazardous to guests. Promptly notify the manager if supplies are needed (bandana, shampoos, etc.). Maintain a sanitary and healthy environment by following the resort's standards of cleaning and disinfecting your workspace. See below for details. Cleaning is essential: All hair must be swept off the floor in a timely manner. Bathing and drying rooms must be cleaned before going home. Grooming area must be tidy (windows cleaned, floor mopped, computer station cleaned.). Disinfecting drying rooms is crucial. Use disinfectant daily and bleach weekly on all drying rooms. Monitor guest's health while grooming or bathing. Report any unusual concerns to the general manager and the pet parent. Ensure the guest has water and a chance to “go potty” if he or she will be with you for over 2 hours. Follow all standards of safety with regards to handling guests, particularly aggressive guests and escape artists. Pay specific attention to kennel tags, (Meds Person to Feed, Aggressive, Separate for Feeding, etc.). Adhere to pricing guidelines. Get prior approval from the manager or pet's owner before any additional costs are added to service. Effectively communicate to pet care staff that guests are with you. Adhere to procedures in identifying pets while they are with you (groom cards, name bands). Promptly give any laundry to pet care so that it can be cleaned. Consult with other departments. Work with a team who all exemplify these qualities: A passion for animals and animal care, especially dogs + cats. Willing to learn animal behavior to ensure their safety.
