In an effort to provide additional support for our residential programs, Cardinal has developed a Rochester-based Float DSP team and we are searching for an additional Float Direct Support Professionals to serve as a flexible resource to our sites located in Rochester and the surrounding areas. This versatile and highly adaptive team will relieve short-staffed programs and be utilized to fill in for DSP time off requests/medical leaves. This Rochester based team will also support programs located in Chatfield, Mantorville, Austin, Spring Valley and Red Wing.
Classification: Nonexempt (hourly)
Expected Hours of Work: Guaranteed 35 variable hours per week (day & pm shifts); 2 weekends per month required. Your work schedule will be determined a minimum of two weeks in advance.
Salary: $22.00/hour for all awake hours
Travel: Must be able to travel to all locations listed above. Eligible for Mileage Reimbursement for programs exceeding 30 miles from the Wellner Drive main office.

The Recovery Coach leads and supervises clients in the long-term/IOL program, providing guidance and
oversight of activities during the work shift.
Essential Job Responsibilities:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential job duty

ï§ Develop healthy relationships with clients in the program, maintaining appropriate boundaries,

ï§ Be compassionate and respectful towards clients, at the same time being firm and direct,
pointing them toward their personal goals.
ï§ Provide spiritual care to program clients. This may involve praying with clients, leading
devotions, and/or assisting with memorization of bible passages, all upon client's request.
ï§ Assist clients in difficult or emotional situations or circumstances that may arise.
ï§ Discuss behavior and/or attitudes that are interfering with clients or others programming, as
needed. This could result in the coach using a consequence management system.
ï§ Model and enforce all program rules in such a way that teach the clients according to the
culture of honor and program guidelines.
ï§ Take attendance and ensure the clients are accounted for and in the correct locations.
ï§ Maintain the data entry for the daily facility log and shift report, ensuring these are kept up to
date.
ï§ Maintain regular building security checks and record the security checks in the facility log (more
specific to overnight staff).
ï§ Monitor evening lights out, and conduct morning wakeups to include cleanup, breakfast, and
morning devotions (more specifically to overnight staff).
ï§ Complete room and person searches to ensure clients are in compliance with program
guidelines and document any non-compliant findings.
ï§ Oversee client visitation with family members and people from the community.
Required Skills & Experience (Minimum Qualifications):
ï§ High school diploma or (GED) required or equivalent combination of education and experience.
ï§ Must be able to meet at least one of the following requirements:
o a course of study in a health or human services related field leading to a bachelor of
arts, bachelor of science, or associate's degree; or
o one year of experience with vulnerable adults; or
o experience as a certified peer specialist according to MN Statutes Sec. 256B.0615.
ï§ Must be comfortable working with people with life-controlling challenges, including mental
health and addiction.

: Assist individuals with daily activities like personal care, meal prep, transportation, housekeeping, and laundry duties, all while fostering independence.

Qualifications
What You Bring to the Table:
Must be at least 18 years of age or older
Passion for Helping Others
Physical stamina to stay on your feet, walk, stand, and lift up to 50 lbs regularly.
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
Basic computer skills for tracking progress and documentation.
Good communication is key in this role. You'll rely on your reading, writing, and communication skills to document care, follow support plans, and collaborate with both internal and external team members

We are currently hiring DSP in:
Shakopee
Evenings weekdays
Weekends rotation between morning and evening shift
Northfield
Evening weekday shifts
Weekends rotation between morning and evening shift
Awake overnight alternating weekly schedule
Pay
$18.50 to $24.00 per hour
Pay rate varies based on location, shift type, and job responsibilities.
SIGN ON BONUS:
$1,000 ( $500 first 6 months,

Qualifications
Must be 18 years or older
High school diploma or equivalent
Valid drivers license and proof of insurance
Must pass a Minnesota Department of Human Services background study
Comfortable working independently and following a structured routine
CPR, First Aid, and Medication Administration training is preferred but will be provided if needed
Experience in direct care, mental health, or disability services is helpful but not required
Key Responsibilities
You will provide support that is both compassionate and compliant with 245D standards, including:
Providing direct care in line with each persons Coordinated Service and Support Plan (CSSP) and CSSP Addendum
Assisting with personal cares, activities of daily living, hygiene, meals, and mobility
Maintaining client safety and supervision in accordance with 245D licensing
Offering cueing, coaching, redirection, and crisis prevention support
Assisting with meal preparation, household tasks, and medication reminders
Teaching and supporting independent living skills such as budgeting, cooking, cleaning, and basic health and safety routines
Providing transportation to appointments, outings, and community activities using a company vehicle
Supporting community integration, relationship-building, and meaningful participation in daily life
Implementing and tracking individual outcomes and support plan goals
Following Individual Abuse Prevention Plans and Positive Support Strategies
Completing accurate daily documentation and progress notes that meet 245D requirements
Reporting incidents in accordance with the Minnesota Vulnerable Adult Act and company policy
Communicating regularly with team members, supervisors, guardians, and case managers
