Job Summary
Our bathers/groomers are the front-line welcoming committee to our services and will create lasting positive relationships not just with pets, but their owners as well. The following is an overview of the groomer position:
Review the days schedule online
AM daily van checklist; fuel, supplies, clean & secure
Cover bathing procedures with the client & collect the pet(s)
Bathe / Groom the pet(s) as discussed with the client
Return them to the client as if they were your own
Collect payment, rebook appointment, and make notes
PM daily van checklist; thorough van cleaning, fill water tank and empty waste tank, note fuel level, restock supplies, close out appointments.

• Complete accurate documentation in Therap and other required forms (e.g., T-Logs, GERs, ISP data)
• Communicate changes or incidents to supervisors and nursing staff
• Maintain confidentiality and protect agency-issued credentials
Transportation & Community Engagement
• Safely transport individuals to activities, appointments, and outings
• Operate agency vehicles, wheelchair lifts, and restraints as trained
• Follow agency transportation and safety protocols
Medication & Financial Assistance
• Administer medications and treatments per agency policy
• Complete Medication Administration Records (MARs)
• Support individuals with financial transactions, receipts, and account documentation
Additional Duties
• Perform general housekeeping duties, including cleaning all rooms of the home - such as bedrooms, common areas, kitchen, and bathrooms.
• Report maintenance or repair needs
• Attend meetings and complete ongoing training as required
• Other duties as assigned
Physical Demands and Working Conditions
• Lift up to 50 lbs; assist with adult transfers as needed
• Frequent movement: standing, walking, bending, kneeling, crouching, reaching, and lifting
• Work indoors and outdoors in varied environments
• Possible exposure to communicable diseases and physical aggression
• Use of safety equipment (gloves, eye/ear protection) may be required
• May be assigned to alternate locations or shifts
• Must operate agency vehicles safely, including at night
