Our Fletcher, NC facility is looking for Axle Housing Technicians. This position is responsible for metal forming, welding and metal cutting for our drive axle housing according to standard work instructions and engineering specifications in a safety and quality driven manner.
Job Responsibilities
The Axle Housing Technician will determine what machine fixtures and tooling is required for the part being produced through interpretation of the work instructions, and will use precision measuring instruments such as calipers, dial indicators and micrometers to ensure required specifications are met. The Axle Housing Technician is also responsible for machine setup and changeover, as well as the setup and operation of automated weld cells, adjustment of torches, replacement of liners, touch points on robots, and the verification of welds coming off of automated cells (and repairing welds when required).
The Axle Housing Technician maintains specifications by observing lathe operations to include drilling, turning and facing. Taking measurements, detecting malfunctions, troubleshooting, adjusting controls, setting tool registers and calculating compensation are also tasks required in this role.
Qualification
Candidates are expected to identify and record any issues, and initiate, recommend, or provide solutions for nonconformities through the Team Lead of Facilitator. Candidates are also expected to perform rework or repair operations on nonconforming material. 5S standards are expected. Safe forklift operation experience is a requirement. Candidates are also required to actively participate in employee engagement and Kaizen events to assist in achieving site initiatives as outlined in the Meritor Production System.

Responsibilities
Respects and maintains resident's rights and confidentiality and demonstrates a positive, caring attitude to all residents, staff, guests and service providers


Provides support and assistance to residents by assisting with daily living skills including things like helping with laundry, getting meals to table, dirty dishes back to kitchen etc., due to their complex medical conditions.


Observe, monitor and document any change in a resident's medical / psychiatric condition and promptly report to site supervisor or primary medical provider if directed to do so.


Monitor / document resident's progress or otherwise on a daily basis; do rounds minimally each shift, more often when requested by site supervisor.


Support residents' use of medications via methods such as prompts or reminders and update site supervisor about any medication related problems identified; report to health care providers (i.e. PCP, VNS, Therapist etc.) when requested to do so.


Work with health care providers to ensure appropriate treatment is provided to each resident based on their individual needs.


Prepare and assist with meal preparation, heating, delivering to person at table if needed.


Work with each resident and their care / support team members to ensure they are working towards their discharge plan of securing more permanent housing. This includes making or f/u with referrals for treatment, housing, finances etc.


Assist with the coordination of all necessary appointments and arrange/schedule/provide transportation as necessary. This may include transporting people in your own car.


Maintain on-going communication with medical providers to provide status updates on resident's medical conditions and document accordingly.


Assist with the overall upkeep of the residence, both inside and outside, taking out trash every shift, shoveling snow, cleaning up yard, cleaning kitchen, bathrooms, vacuuming etc.


Assist with laundering of clothing, sheets, bedding, etc. as needed.


Follow all health and safety regulations for the benefit of all staff and residents.


Participate in all necessary and relevant trainings as it relates to the program.


Perform any other duties necessary for the effective and efficient operation of the residence.
Qualifications
Minimum of a high school diploma / GED and at least 1-year of experience working in a residential, psychiatric and/or medical type setting. Must have a valid NYS driver's license and a driving record that meets DePaul's clean driving standards. Must be comfortable with various medically related scenarios.
Work Environment
The DePaul Hopelink program is designed for adults who are currently hospitalized for health-related issues and no longer require the acute services provided by the hospital. The program itself serves as a therapeutic, short-term solution for individuals who cannot return to their place of residence upon discharge from the hospital. Individuals who lack a permanent residence will also be eligible for this program. The overall goal of the Hopelink program is to provide individuals with the support they need, enabling either a return to their residence or securing a residence that is appropriate for their long-term needs.

Employee is responsible for preventive maintenance and repair of thermal processing equipment in the facility. In addition to these skills, this individual will be responsible for safe and compliant operation of refrigeration, ammonia, HVAC and engine room processes.

* Operate boiler system, ammonia refrigeration system, air compressors and wastewater treatment system
* Follow written and verbal procedures to comply with company and governmental regulations
