The Role : Service Shop Technician (Diesel) is responsible for trouble-shooting, maintaining, servicing and repairing pumping and support equipment in a safe and efficient manner in the shop or at a customer job site.

Essential Duties/Principal Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine inspections, preventative maintenance and servicing as directed on Godwin fleet equipment between each rental.
  • Rebuild diesel engines and pump ends.
  • Commercial Driver License B - Preferred
  • Perform an initial inspection of Godwin fleet equipment for possible damages; diagnose damages; report damages to Service Manager.
  • Repair damaged equipment.
  • Test all repaired equipment for proper operation and quality.
  • Perform preventative maintenance on Company vehicles and shop support equipment
  • Troubleshoot diesel engine, electrical systems and pump problems.
  • Perform diagnostic checks using computer technology.
  • Perform related duties as assigned.
  • Participation in Xylem Watermark volunteer activities

Minimum Qualifications: Education, Experience, Skills, Abilities, License/Certification:

  • 3-5 years of diesel experience and/or training or combination of education, training and experience that demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the position
  • Commercial Driver License B - Preferred
  • Diagnosing basic mechanical problems
  • General DC electric and circuit testing skills
