Job Overview
The Merchandiser is responsible for presenting products in a way that will attract the attention of consumers at our customer retail locations. This position services and maintains multiple Convenience Retail, Drug and Value accounts by merchandising approved products and packages using safe handling techniques and following all quality guidelines. Ability to follow plan sets, planograms and communicate to store management and cross-functional personnel.
Duties & Responsibilities
* Fills, merchandises and rotates products in cold vaults and on the shelf according to procedures and special programs. Physically moves product from sales floor to cold vault and displays. Creates and distributes point of sale materials on display and shelve where permitted. Rotates product.
* Fills and merchandises coolers within outlet as well as any displays on sales floor.
* Organizes and maintains back room cooler by stacking and arranging product by package and flavor, arranging the return of empty shells, damaged and out of date product for driver pick up, and disposing of any cardboard and plastic.
* Fosters business relationship with store personnel through routine follow-up on requests, proactive pricing, special programs, new opportunities and upcoming activities discussions.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
* Must have effective communication skills which include listening, speaking and writing.
* Prior customer service experience preferred in a retail setting.
* Merchandisers must have excellent interpersonal skills and be able to work effectively to satisfy needs of a variety of customers with differing demands and expectations.
* Willingness to work in fast-paced, physically demanding environment (lifting 50 lbs. repetitively).
* Able to work reliably and independently with little daily supervision.

Warehouse Associate - NightsThe team member in this position checks trucks in and out using WMS and is responsible for the quality and efficiency of the trailer loading/unloading to include the pallet handling process. The team member will operate a forklift or work with the LGV (Laser Guided Vehicle) and handling system. Clears up blocked locations in WMS

Job Duties:
Checks all material received via Motor Freight Carriers, UPS / FedEx or customer returns.
Pulls orders for shipment from warehouse and pipe yard inventory utilizing RF gun and forklift equipment.
Stages and prepares orders for shipment while ensuring the items are packaged neatly.
Completes all shipping paperwork promptly monitoring closely for any errors or quality discrepancies.
Loads & Secures orders onto Eastern vehicles.
Delivers orders to local customers and other Eastern Distribution Centers.
Safely function as a Delivery Driver.

What We Need From You:
Education and/or Experience: High school diploma or GED; strongly prefer at least 1 year of related warehouse, material handler, distribution, forklift operations, and delivery driver experience. RF gun experience and Box or Flatbed Truck driver experience is strongly preferred.
Computer Skills: To perform this job successfully, an individual should have basic computer knowledge and experience.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: DOT Medical Certificate/Health Card following Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration regulations. Valid Driver's License. Good driving record.
Location: You must live within a reasonable distance from the Durham Distribution Center. This job is NOT remote and requires you to enter the center every workday.
Physical Ability: You must be able to lift up to 50lbs and perform functions such as crouching, kneeling, and balancing.

Essential Duties:
Perform general stocking duties daily including storing and stocking products in/on bins, pallets, shelves, racks, and refrigerators.
Move, handle, and transport finished products, material, or supplies to other departments by utilizing hand jacks, lift carts, and other means of transportation.
Load, unload, and move heavy, bulky products.
Keep the work area clean, organized, and free of hazards (including backroom and shelves) and dispose of trash.
Help and assist customers in finding merchandise and providing them with information, sales, promotions, etc.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Follow safety policies and procedures and encourage colleagues to do the same.
Requirements
Qualifications:
Strong communication and organizational skills.

Ability to work safely with box cutters and grocery equipment.
