**Summary:**
The Project Controls Manager I drives successful project delivery, supporting solar, energy storage, wind, transmission, and distribution. This person collaborates closely with the Construction Project Management team to ensure that projects are delivered safely, on time, and budget. Areas of responsibility include cost control, cost reporting, forecasting, financial reporting, performance measurement, earned value analysis, contract management, subcontract compliance, invoice management, change management, and risk analysis.
This position is expected to travel to the project site between 30-50% of the time, dependent on project alignment.
**Requirements:**
+ Manages the Cost Control Process:
+ Supports Estimating during budget setup, following standard WBS and cost code structure.
+ Develops and contains project cost reports.
+ Forecasts and analyzes trends, develops estimates to complete costs, and analyzes commitments.
+ Provides Cost Variance Analyses and variance to budget and the prior forecast.
+ Provides Earned Value Analysis by tracking progress and measuring performance.
+ Utilizes Cash Flow Models with cash flow analysis and preparation.
+ Supports Change Management by tracking and analyzing project changes to budget and scope, facilitating the change management process.
+ Supports Subcontractor Change Management ~ reviewing subcontractor changes and assessing the impact on the overall budget and forecast.
+ Provides Risk Analysis ~ assessing and evaluating project risk at the funding stage and throughout project execution, compiling data and risk analyses.
+ Administers contracts:
+ Demonstrates extensive knowledge of prime contracts and subcontracts and identifies all gaps, risks, opportunities, and deliverables.
+ Resolves issues with contracts and subcontracts.
+ Maintains a complete understanding of all contractual obligations and ensures executed agreements and contracts are in place.
+ Produces change orders and liaises with the counterpart in the client organization to ensure the client processes and approves change orders.
+ Reviews subcontractor progress and performance and supports payment applications.
+ Supports Project Manager with reporting process:
+ Collects data necessary for daily/weekly/monthly work completed.
+ Participates in daily and weekly status and progress reports of construction on site.
+ Creates the weekly and monthly Project Cost reports and presents them alongside the PM.
+ Understands the impacts of Scheduling on the cost control process:
+ Reviews and understands schedule as it ties to contractual milestone dates.
+ Assesses risks and makes recommendations for risk mitigation and contingency management.
+ Supports development and implementation of the project execution plan.
+ Operates Company aligned vehicle for site visits and business trips.
+ Attends work regularly and punctually, as scheduled or expected.
+ Complies with Employee Handbook, Code of Conduct, and Company Policies & Procedures.
+ Presents, supports, and leads-by-example with a safety and quality-oriented attitude.
**Qualifications:**
+ Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Engineering Construction Management, Accounting, or 5 years of related experience required.
+ 3 or more years of experience in Project Controls/Commercial Management in a construction environment required.
+ Ability to travel domestically 51 to 75%.
+ Must possess a valid Driver's license.
+ Understanding of Safety and OSHA requirements.

**Anticipated base salary range:** $98,000 - $122,000
The final agreed upon compensation is based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. This position is bonus eligible.

Summary:
Serves as a senior medical writer on clinical study or regulatory project teams. Plans and coordinates report-writing activities with dependent staff roles to ensure satisfactory completion of all writing projects, as well as mentors and leads less experienced medical writers on complex projects.
Essential Functions:
1. Mentors and leads less experienced medical writers on complex projects, as necessary.
2. Compiles, writes, and edits medical writing deliverables, and serves as a medical writer on inter-department and intra-department project teams with minimal supervision. Provides medical writing deliverables covering all phases of clinical research and in various therapeutic areas.
3. Creates writing deliverables that include, but may not be limited to:
- clinical study protocols and clinical protocol amendments;
- clinical study reports;
- clinical development plans;
- IND submissions and annual reports;
- Integrated summary reports;
- NDA and (e) CTD submissions;
- investigator brochures, as well as;
- clinical journal manuscripts, clinical journal abstracts, and client presentations.
4. Reviews statistical analysis plans and table/figure/listing specifications for appropriate content, and for grammar, format, and consistency.
5. Interacts with department head and staff members in data management, biostatistics, regulatory affairs, and medical affairs as necessary to produce writing deliverables.
6. Serves as peer reviewer on internal review team.
7. Adheres to established regulatory standards, including but not limited to ICH-E3 guidelines, as well as Company Standard Operating Procedures, client standards, and Company and/or client approved templates when completing medical writing projects, on-time and on-budget.
8. Performs on-line clinical literature searches, as requested. Maintains familiarity with current industry practices and regulatory requirements and guidelines that affect medical writing.
Other Responsibilities:
Performs other work-related duties as assigned. Minimal travel may be required (less than 25%).
Qualifications
Requirements:
BA/BS degree in life sciences, clinical sciences, English/journalism, or equivalent related experience. Extensive progressive experience in medical and/or scientific writing or equivalent education and experience. Advanced degree preferred. Extensive knowledge of English grammar and FDA and ICH regulations and guidelines as well as a familiarity with AMA style guide. Demonstrated high degree of independence with effective presentation, proofreading, interpersonal, and leadership skills and ensure a team-oriented approach. Strong proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, email, and Internet. Ability to demonstrate a familiarity with principles of clinical research and to interpret and present clinical data and other complex information.

The Ecological Practice is an essential part of the integrated services that we offer to our clients. Ecologists work cooperatively across all CEC offices to bring the necessary expertise to our clients' specific project needs. You will be part of a team that excels at solving problems and navigating today's complex environmental regulatory landscape. Project managers at CEC are responsible for developing business through utilization of your existing network and internal CEC resources. You will collaborate with staff ecologists and lead interdisciplinary projects working alongside engineers, surveyors, and environmental scientists. Qualifications
B.S. or B.A. in a natural sciences field (e.g., Ecology, Environmental Science, Environmental Studies, Biology);
Minimum 5 years of experience in one or more of the following areas: delineation and assessment of natural resources (e.g., wetland and waterbody delineation, threatened and endangered species habitat evaluation, etc.); natural resource impact permitting (e.g. Clean Water Act Section 404/401, state-specific permits, local permits, etc.); and, assessment/reporting for projects subject to National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) requirements. Recent experience in Ohio is desired. Experience states adjacent to Ohio (Pennsylvania, West Virginia, Kentucky, Indiana and Michigan) or elsewhere is a plus;
Experience with linear projects preferred (e.g., pipelines, electrical transmission lines, transportation corridors, etc.). Specifically, experience is preferred with projects regulated by the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission, state departments of transportation, and state agencies responsible for siting and approval of electric transmission and renewable energy projects;
Ability to provide senior technical expertise and mentoring to staff and managers in the ecological practice;
Experience working with state and federal regulators and demonstrated understanding of regulations from agencies such as EPA, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, and U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service;
Successful client development and management experience applicable to expansion of services in the renewable energy, electric transmission, oil and gas, and/or commercial real estate markets.
