JOB SUMMARY:
The
Auditing Clerk
performs the function of ensuring gaming revenues are accurately accounted for which includes entering data into a PC, recording, calculating and summarizing numbers and reviewing documents for proper completion. Performs variety of accounting, record keeping and clerical functions in the accounting department and provides efficient, timely customer service to both external and internal customers.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTION:
Enters statistical information into the computer system, generating various reports for gaming and non-gaming Reviews, reconciles and verifies documents for proper completion Responds to customer inquiries (regarding credit card charges, W-2G information, etc. Communicates with affiliated departments on variances, statistics and exceptions to policies and procedures.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Must be at least 21 years old or older. High school graduate or equivalent required. Experience in gaming audit functions or operational areas preferred. A basic knowledge of internal control procedures of gaming operations preferred. Computer program skills preferred: Infinium, CMS (or similar casino system), SDS (Ballys Slot Data System). Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Access database software preferred. Must possess strong Microsoft Excel skills. Applicant should be customer service oriented with good communication skills and present a well-groomed appearance. Must be able to get along well with co-workers and work as a team.
Physical, Mental, And Environmental Demands:
Able to work at a computer terminal throughout the assigned shift and sit for a long period. Able to bend, reach, carry, stand, maneuvers up and down stairs, and lift 20 pounds. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Examine revenue cash receipts, sales tickets, bank records, inventory and stock record sheets, and similar items to verify accuracy of recorded data.
- Prepare daily operating reports based on revenue reports from within the revenue and other accounting areas.
- Complete audits on casino revenue, non-casino revenue and cage transactions. Verify drop and win statistics, prepare master gaming reports.
- Assist with soft count record keeping and reporting.
- Examine customer gambling tax records for accuracy of recorded data. Reconcile reportable winnings on tax forms to winnings on source documents and system reports.
- Review multiple transaction logs, currency transaction reports (CTRC's), suspicious activity reports (SARC's), and other supporting documents and reports for reportable currency transactions and suspicious activity in accordance with Title 31 of the Bank Secrecy Act. Prepare CTRC's and SARC's for review by Controller or CFO.
- Correct errors or list discrepancies for adjustment.
- Compute percentages and totals and compare results with recorded entries.
- Assist in auditing the effectiveness of internal controls and accuracy of financial records by means of thorough investigations of discrepancies. Report results of investigations to management.
- Promote positive public and employee relations through efficient, courteous, professional services.

Essential Functions:
Work closely and patiently with other departments to train them in new processes, as well as creating training materials so they can more easily learn best practices. Enter the daily data for the property then balance it as needed. Use POS/PMS systems (Opera, SpaSoft, and Jonas) to verify revenues with what has posted into the profit system (OneStream) Verify daily settlements between the credit card processor (Shift4), POS/PMS systems (Opera, SpaSoft, and Jonas) and profit system (OneStream) Send a daily revenue and labor report to all managers each morning Communicate with other departments as issues are found in the revenue imports and assist them in finding a proper solution for the issue, as well as finding best practices to avoid the same problems in the future.
