As a Shuttle Driver, you will provide transportation services for the senior residents in a safe, efficient, and courteous manner. You will take on a rewarding position with an innovative company where hard work pays off and advancement is always a possibility.
Required Experience for Shuttle Driver
3 years driving a shuttle, bus, or similar vehicle.
Chauffeur's License; must have a clean driving record.
Compassionate & Care for seniors. The ideal candidate will enjoy helping and working with the senior population.
Ability to be timely, patient, and accommodating; ability to maintain a bus schedule and is familiar with the local area.
Must be able to lift 25 pounds.
Must be able to work a flexible schedule, which may include evening, weekend, and holiday hours.
You love to laugh and have fun while working hard to provide excellent service.
Primary Responsibilities for Shuttle Driver
Assist residents getting on and off the bus, utilizing the appropriate and safest mode for assistance. This may include using a lift, ambulation, and/or physical transfer.
Completes bus trip log; Completes required route in a safe and efficient manner; Ability to organize and coordinate their route and route priorities to maintain the most efficient and productive process.
Maintains the cleanliness of the interior and exterior of the bus
Fills out daily inspection log at the beginning of each trip and turns in form when completed.
As a Shuttle Driver, you must maintain a positive attitude which supports team performance and productivity.
General Working Conditions
This position entails standing for long periods of time. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to communicate effectively with others, sit, stand, walk and use hands to handle keyboard, telephone, paper, files, and other equipment and objects. The employee is occasionally required to reach with hands and arms. This position requires the ability to review detailed documents and read computer screens. The employee will occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. The work environment requires appropriate interaction with others. The noise level in the work environment is moderate. Occasional travel to different locations may be required.

Your Responsibilities
Create an environment of safety for our residents and passengers.
Drive passengers to and from the local University while following a set schedule and route.
Inspect the shuttle(s) daily and records necessary repairs and maintenance, informing the General Manager of needed services and repairs.
Follow all traffic laws and posted speed limits, even at the expense of arriving late to a destination.
Report any unsafe conditions or road hazards to the General Manager.
Maintain a ridership log throughout each shift.
Clean and organize the shuttle.
Take shuttle to get washed and gets the required repairs completed.
Maintain parts and supplies inventory, as authorized.
Assist in snow removal at property, as required.
Maintain required property uniform and presents a professional appearance and attitude.
Undertake training related to job duties as deemed necessary.
The responsibilities listed above may not be all inclusive; however, they are indicative of the type of activities normally performed by the Shuttle Driver.
What We Require
High school diploma/GED
Possession of a valid driver's license and safe driving record-depending on the size of the shuttle bus, drivers may require a commercial license with a passenger endorsement

What You'll Do
Responsible for performing vehicle inspection prior to transporting residents.
Keep residents safe by following all traffic laws.
Must always keep the vehicle clean.
Know your destination, the people that are going, and other particulars about the assignment.
Complete the mileage log.
Maintain and complete, as necessary, an accident report for the vehicle.
Perform other related duties as assigned with the community's activities department
What We're Looking For
High School diploma/GED desired.
Valid driver's license required.
Great customer service skills.
Having previous experience driving seniors is a plus.
Ability to apply basic math skills
You can communicate with co-workers, residents, family members and business partners.
You can make routine decisions requiring minimal judgment which typically affect immediate department.
