    The Commercial Reviewer Appraiser will report to the VP Commercial Appraisal Review Manager. Responsibilities: The Commercial Review Appraiser is primarily responsible for reviewing and providing written Standard 3 Appraisal Review Reports on externally prepared Appraisals of commercial and investment residential properties, to ensure that the methodology, market data, and analysis is reasonable and supported. Reviewers also document that the Appraisal Reports conform to USPAP, FIRREA, and Rockland Trust supplemental standards, and act as a liaison between the Bank and third party valuation providers. Additional duties may include performing internal Restricted Appraisal Reports, maintaining an internal database of sale and market data, assisting Loan Officers in understanding appraisal concepts and methodologies, and working with external valuation providers to resolve valuation disputes or report deficiencies. Qualifications: Massachusetts (and/or Rhode Island) Certified General Real Estate Appraiser License and valid driver's license. Working knowledge of the supply and demand dynamics of the New England commercial real estate markets including all primary commercial property types Minimum of five years' experience as a commercial real estate fee appraiser, or commercial review appraiser in an institutional setting Excellent written and verbal communication skills, and ability to exercise sound judgment in a regulated financial services risk management role Familiarity with LIHTC developments and both residential and commercial construction projects is a plus.
