The CNA works under the supervision of registered nurses (RNs) or licensed practical nurses (LPNs) and is responsible for assisting with personal care, daily activities, and ensuring a safe and comfortable environment for residents. The role also includes assisting residents with eating, grooming, and hygiene. Key Responsibilities: Personal Care Assistance: Assist residents with daily personal care, including bathing, dressing, grooming, oral hygiene, and toileting. Mobility Support: Help residents with mobility issues, including transferring from bed to chair, using a walker or wheelchair, and assisting with walking. Monitoring and Reporting: Observe residents' health and report any significant changes in condition to the nurse or healthcare provider. Vital Signs Monitoring: Take and record vital signs such as blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiratory rate. Feeding Assistance: Aid residents who require assistance with eating, including providing meals, ensuring proper nutrition, and feeding as needed. Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of care provided, including daily logs and medication reminders.
