Type:Urban Salary Range:$20 to $24 / Per Hour Open Period:5/2/2024 until filled Summary As a part of our Integrated Healthcare team, this position will provide administrative and clinical support to the NAC Provider and the Integrated Clinic's daily operations under the supervision of the Sr. Director of Integrated Health Duties:RESPONSIBILITIES: • Assists with all aspects of Integrated Clinic's COVID-19 testing and vaccine program (including scheduling, supplies, cleaning, and documentation). • Answer phones and schedule follow-up appointments. • Takes vital signs • Assists clients with new patient paperwork, • Takes medical histories and/or medical concerns, • Explains treatment procedures, prepares patient for examinations, • Assists Provider during examinations, • Collects and prepares laboratory specimens, • Instruct patients about medication, special diets, and follow-ups/referrals. • Prepares client electronic chart by inputting information from patient intake packet to electronic record for the FNP to review during appointments. • Plays an active role in the implementation of special projects related to establishing/expanding new clinical services. • Support and actively engage in practices of inclusion through Cultural and Linguistically Appropriate Services (CLAS) Standards. • Other duties as assigned. SKILLS REQUIREMENT • Valid Fingerprint Clearance Card required. • CPR/First Aid Certificate within 90 days of hire • Possess and maintain a valid Arizona driver's license. • MS Office proficiency • Bilingual- Spanish desired • Strong interpersonal skills with an ability to work effectively with a wide range of people, teams, managers, supervisors, and vendors. • Demonstrate excellent written and oral communication skills. • Excellent customer service skills • Must demonstrate critical thinking, problem-solving, and organizational and time management skills. • Must be able to work well with others in a team approach. • Understand the dynamics of substance use and demonstrate the ability to integrate the knowledge for practical application. • Ability to inquire about patient medical needs and to report to the provider before appointment. • Either proficiency or readiness to learn IM injections (deltoid and gluteal) • Experience with venipunctures and processing of lab samples for Sonora Quest to retrieve (ie blood draw, centrifuge, label, store properly, and transport to specimen container) Qualifications:EDUCATIONAL/WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENT: • High School Diploma or GED required. • Graduate from an approved Medical Assistant program • Electronic Medical Record experience • Knowledgeable about the economic, educational, and social problems of Native Americans and referral sources available • Experience in working with the Native American population preferred. The job requires the individual to work indoors inside a well-lighted, air-conditioned climate-controlled building. Work is also done outside and depending on the weather, may be hot, cold, dusty, wet and humid. The job hazards are walking on slippery/uneven surfaces when outdoors and potential for patient-induced bodily injury. The work hours are long and irregular, may require working different shifts to include overtime. Provide treatment to HHS employees injured in course and scope of employment. Qualifications Minimum of GED or High School Diploma, plus 6 months of direct work experience with people with intellectual disabilities and/or mental illness. Graduate from a standard Senior High School or GED equivalent. Current Certified Nursing Assistant License Work experience, preferably direct care experience.
