Sheldon Lavin
OSI Group

As the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of OSI Group, LLC, Sheldon Lavin has an extremely high profile in the meat and food processing industry. Sheldon Lavin also currently serves as the President of OSI International Foods Ltd. and remains actively involved in the company's many operations. Lavin has developed extensive industry knowledge since 1970 when he was involved in the financing of Otto & Sons, which ultimately developed into OSI Group. Under Lavin's vision and leadership, OSI Group quickly grew from a domestic food processing company to an international industry leader. OSI Group now has more than 60 locations across 17 different countries. In recognition of Sheldon Lavin's incredible accomplishment of bringing OSI Group onto the international scene and contributing to job growth all over the world, he was presented with a Global Visionary Award by India’s Vision World Academy on February 20, 2016. Lavin said he was honored and humbled to win such a prestigious award and is very proud of his life's work in helping OSI Group to grow into the international powerhouse that it is today. He has spent his life committed to the overall welfare of the company and its many employees. In addition to expanding the operations of OSI Group around the globe, the company has also received a long list of environmental and sustainability awards under Lavin's watch. This is something that Lavin hopes the next generations of corporate leaders will continue to prioritize. When asked about his long list of successes, Lavin says that he seeks to inspire the next crop of corporate leaders to dedicate themselves to growing their companies in responsible ways that contribute to the growth of global commerce and opportunities for their employees. While Lavin's words of wisdom are uplifting, he is not slowing down in the near future. He still finds time to remain very involved in charitable causes, such as Ronald McDonald House Charities. One of the things that Lavin is most proud of his career was that he was able to help raise three children with his wife and give back to the community while growing his company.
