Role Overview:
CustomerServiceRepresentatives 2 administer and evaluate driving exams and assist customers with titles and registrations. You will calmly and patiently evaluate customers' knowledge and ability to adhere to traffic laws. When you are not facilitating these exams, you will be at the front line, processing transactions for customers.
This position will serve at the Madison, Indiana, BMV Branch Office. Branch hours are:
* Sunday: Closed
* Monday: Closed
* Tuesday: 9:00 am - 6:30 pm
* Wednesday: 9:00 am - 5:00 pm
* Thursday: 9:00 am - 5:00 pm
* Friday: 9:00 am - 5:00 pm
* Saturday: 9:00 am - 12:30 pm
Salary :
The salary for this position traditionally starts at $31,668 annually ($16.24 per hour) but may be commensurate with education and experience.

A Day in the Life:
The essential functions of this role are:
* Administer skills tests and evaluate driving skills.
* Assist customers with vehicle/watercraft titles and registration needs.
* Maintain compliance with all laws of the State of Indiana relative to the operations, licensure, and registration of personal motor vehicles.
* Attend training classes and/or take certification tests as required.
* Maintain privacy of customer and all related records.
* Substitute for CustomerServiceRepresentatives as needed.

* Ability to travel up to 20 percent of the time to branch locations, training, or branch-related community activities.
* Customerservice experience.
* Ability to relate tactfully, but decisively to all types of people and situations which may require a calm disposition, alertness, quick reflexes, and patience.
* Must be familiar with the operations of all types of motor vehicles.
* Working knowledge of Indiana driving laws.
* Top-notch communication skills.
* A high level of critical thinking and the ability to troubleshoot.
* Ability to process cash and card transactions.
* Able to perform essential functions with or without reasonable accommodation.
Supervisory Responsibilities/Direct Reports:
This role may be utilized in a supervisory capacity based on agency needs.

About the DNR CustomerService Center:
The Indiana Department of Natural Resources protects, enhances, preserves, and wisely uses natural, cultural, and recreational resources for the benefit of Indiana's citizens through professional leadership, management, and education.The DNR CustomerService Center is located at the Indiana State Government Center and provides walk-in and phone-in support for those seeking licenses, permits, and maps. Staff also answer questions about parks, services, recreation, drone regulations, urban forestry, and other items of interest to the public.
Role Overview:
As the CustomerServiceRepresentative, your role entails delivering customerservice to both internal and external customers, as well as the general public. Your responsibilities include offering prompt, accurate, and polite frontline customerservice interactions to support the agency's services. The DNR CustomerService Center responds to various public inquiries, such as questions related to injured, orphaned, or deceased wildlife, as well as policies, rules, regulations, and laws related to engaging in DNR-managed activities like hunting and fishing, and accessing DNR-operated properties.
A Day in the Life:
The essential functions of this role are as follows:
* Provide guidance, information, and direction to customer inquiries in a polite and courteous manner.
* Assist customers with selection of the correct or needed products or services and conducts the related sale transactions.
* Prepare and sort incoming and outgoing mail and packages.
* Answer incoming calls, screens caller regarding the purpose of the call, and/or transfers to appropriate staff member or department.
* Track customer transactions and inquiries and may generate reports for management.
* Escalate complex or high-profile customer inquiries to supervisor for review and evaluation.
* Research information in order to provide answers to customer inquiries.

CustomerServiceRepresentatives 2 administer and evaluate driving exams and assist customers with titles and registrations. You will calmly and patiently evaluate customers' knowledge and ability to adhere to traffic laws. When you are not facilitating these exams, you will be at the front line, processing transactions for customers.
This position will serve at the La Porte, Indiana, BMV Branch Office. Branch hours are:
* Sunday: Closed
* Monday: Closed
* Tuesday: 9:00 am - 6:30 pm
* Wednesday: 9:00 am - 5:00 pm
* Thursday: 9:00 am - 5:00 pm
* Friday: 9:00 am - 5:00 pm
* Saturday: 9:00 am - 12:30 pm
Salary :
The salary for this position traditionally starts at $31,668 annually ($16.24 per hour) but may be commensurate with education and experience.

A Day in the Life:
The essential functions of this role are:
* Administer skills tests and evaluate driving skills.
* Assist customers with vehicle/watercraft titles and registration needs.
* Maintain compliance with all laws of the State of Indiana relative to the operations, licensure, and registration of personal motor vehicles.
* Attend training classes and/or take certification tests as required.
* Maintain privacy of customer and all related records.
* Substitute for CustomerServiceRepresentatives as needed.

What You'll Need for Success:
You must meet the following requirement to be considered for employment:

* Ability to travel up to 20 percent of the time to branch locations, training, or branch-related community activities.
* Customerservice experience.
* Ability to relate tactfully, but decisively to all types of people and situations which may require a calm disposition, alertness, quick reflexes, and patience.
* Must be familiar with the operations of all types of motor vehicles.
* Working knowledge of Indiana driving laws.
* Top-notch communication skills.
* A high level of critical thinking and the ability to troubleshoot.
* Ability to process cash and card transactions.
* Able to perform essential functions with or without reasonable accommodation.
Supervisory Responsibilities/Direct Reports:
This role may be utilized in a supervisory capacity based on agency needs.
