Role Overview:
The Maintenance Technician provides preventative maintenance and repairs to equipment, machinery, buildings, and grounds at the Indiana State Museum. You will travel to various historic sites to facilitate, oversee, and complete projects.
A work vehicle is provided. Hours are typically four 10-hour days as arranged with supervisor.

The salary for this position traditionally starts at $56,650 but may be commensurate with education or work experience.

A Day in the Life:
Responsibilities include:
* Perform routine carpentry, plumbing, and electrical repairs.
* Install furniture components, tiles, screens, window glass, doors, wiring and conduits, plumbing fixtures, and other items.
* Repair locks, make keys, and provide secure facilities throughout the Museum.
* Assist other maintenance technicians and building custodians on major projects.
* Assist with setting up and tearing down for special events.

PRIMARY JOB FUNCTIONS:
Incumbent serves as a Public Works Technician in training for the Public Works Department and is responsible for learning on the job while operating City equipment and vehicles under the supervision of Department Foremen.
This position is designated as a safety-sensitive role under DOT/FMCSA regulations due to the operation of commercial motor vehicles and heavy equipment. Employees in this classification are subject to mandatory compliance with the City's Drug and Alcohol Policy, including pre-employment, random, post-accident, and reasonable suspicion testing, and must maintain a valid DOT Medical Examiner's Certificate (MEC) as a condition of employment.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
1. Learns to operate and perform preventative maintenance on various department equipment including rollers, skid steers, heavy duty trucks and related attachments for affecting the repair, reconstruction, or construction of various asphalt and concrete projects throughout the city
2. Performs labor tasks as a part of the construction crew not limited to shoveling, raking, luting, trimming, flatwork, and other related tasks under the general jurisdiction of the public works department
3. Loads, dumps, and shovels crushed stone, sand, and salt from trucks, and removes snow from City streets using appropriate equipment.
4. Removes debris such as leaves and sand from streets, sidewalks, drains, and alleys, using appropriate equipment.
5. Works toward achieving novice level proficiency in the following basic public works tasks
a. Medium to Heavy Duty Truck operation and preventative maintenance
b. Basic skid steer operation- load, unload, travel, transfer material, back up, work in confined area
c. Basic roller operation- load, unload, travel, choose appropriate settings for water, vibration, and speed of operation, basic compaction
d. Basic Laborer skills- safe lifting, material transfer, debris removal, cleaning, hand tool use, hydraulic tool operation, asphalt and concrete temporary repairs.
6. Failure to safely perform these essential functions may result in removal from duty or disciplinary action.
OTHER JOB FUNCTIONS:
1. Performs other duties as assigned consistent with public works functions
2. On call in case of emergencies and/or snow/ice/storm response.
Employee may be required to respond to emergencies outside of normal working hours and must maintain fitness for duty at all times to safely operate City vehicles and equipment.

Position Summary

Perform troubleshooting and repair on printed circuit boards and related electronic equipment to the component level. Perform sub assembly and final assembly on a wide range of electronic and robotic components and devices.

Participate in regular team meetings to receive updated information, share challenges, and elevate any concerns from the Operations Repair lab environment.

Job Position Description:With a
‘One Team'
mentality, you will perform services as assigned while following PuroClean production guidelines. Working to ensure all customer needs are met in a kind and sympathetic way, our project technicians assist their teams and supervisors with all aspects of restoration work on residential and commercial jobsites, as well as maintain vehicles, equipment, and assets of the business. Our technicians take pride in going above and beyond customer expectations in their times of need by providing a world class level of service which sets up apart from our competitors in the industry. Responsibilities:
Managing Customer Satisfaction and representing the brand
Effectively perform all aspects of the production processes
Regular Vehicle and equipment maintenance and organization
Working with your direct supervisor to ensure team is unified and efficient
Following all uniform and policy guidelines in line with the Brand Identity Guide
Always leaving jobsites with a clean and orderly appearance
Developing production expertise through providing services
Maintaining cleanliness of products and equipment to the highest standard
Ensure clear communication with office staff, immediate supervisor and fellow technicians
Has knowledge of basic tools, and is willing to get dirty.
Qualifications:
Willingness for continued learning and growth
Attention to details in organization, cleanliness and care for facility, assets and equipment
Aptitude with record keeping, recording information and communicating ‘

Awareness and respect for safety, using care are caution with teammates and customers
Strength with multitasking and handling deadlines

About Westville Correctional Facility:
As a part of the Indiana Department of Correction, the Westville Correctional Facility promotes public safety by providing meaningful, effective opportunities for successful re-entry. The Westville Correctional Facility is a multi-level security Correctional facility for adult males. The Westville Correctional Facility is located in Westville, Indiana.
Salary Statement:
The salary for this position traditionally starts at $42,900.00 but may be commensurate with education or work experience.
A Day in the Life:
The essential elements of the job duties:
* Install, operate, and inspect electronic and telecommunication equipment.
* Troubleshoot a variety of complex electronic equipment and performs necessary electrical repairs.
* Responsible for researching and recommending new electronic equipment.
* Resolve electrical and operable problems when combining new equipment with present equipment.
* Ensure all electronic systems meet regulatory laws and complies to ACA standards and departmental policies.
* Ensure all safety standards and precautions are followed and in compliance with policies and procedures.
* Estimate and recommend project needs and budget requests.
* Document and maintain record of repairs, calibration, and tests.
* Order equipment and parts and maintain an inventory list.

What You'll Need for Success:
You must meet the following requirements to be considered for employment:
* Must have a High School Diploma or High School Equivalent (HSE).
* Four (4) years of experience in repair and/or maintenance of electronic components and equipment.
* Thorough knowledge of, and ability to inspect, analyze and install electronic equipment.
* Extensive knowledge of standard theories, methods, procedures, materials, test equipment and tools of the electronics field.
* Working knowledge of, and ability to utilize, repair manuals, schematics, and parts catalogs.
* Working knowledge of hazards peculiar to high voltage electronics equipment and applicable safety procedures.
* Working knowledge of various power regulations throughout the state.
* Ability to analyze, diagnose and correct malfunctions of a wide variety of electronic equipment.
* Ability to establish professional and technical contacts with manufacturers, suppliers, and vendors of electronic equipment.
* Ability to maintain and update files on equipment and counts.
* Able to perform essential functions with or without reasonable accommodation.
Additional requirements if position is for AGO:
* Provide direct support to military unit on live fire training ranges and complexes.
* Perform duties during day, night, and all-weather conditions.
* Required to attend and receive certification for overseeing an Indiana Department of Correction work crew.
* Working knowledge of fire code, IOSHA requirements, facility departmental and state policies and procedures, federal, state and local building codes.
Supervisory Responsibilities/Direct Reports:
This role may be utilized in a supervisory capacity based on agency needs.
