Travel Travel 60-70% to various data center locations or project sites as required. Enrolled in a certified apprenticeship or qualifying program (as required by state laws). Additional certifications (OSHA, NFPA 70E, etc) are a plus. Basic understanding of electrical principles and concepts in accordance with local and national codes. Willingness to learn and follow instructions. Ability to self-motivate and manage assigned workflow in both independent and team settings. Strong organizational and time management skills. Strong attention to detail. Basic knowledge of the use of power tools, saws, threaders, wire tuggers, knock punches, and any tools associated with the electrical industry. Operate two-handed tools/equipment, cable cutters, hammer drills, compression tools, jack hammers, and any other tools associated with the electrical industry. Operate and work from mechanical personnel lifts, electric or gas powered. Operate company vehicles with manual and automatic transmissions of less than 26,000 GVW. Must be at a minimum of 18 years of age. Work a 40-hour work week, overtime as required and night shifts when applicable. IMPORTANT AND ESSENTIAL DUTIES Maintenance Electrician I Work independently and assist Maintenance Electrician II with routine daily operations and electrical tasks. Help in securing, relocating and organizing materials, small tools, and equipment from and back to appropriate storage areas. Keep work area clean by collecting and disposing of scrap, excess materials, and refuse. Assists in pulling wire, lifting, hoisting and positioning materials. May operate hand tools and equipment under direct supervision of a Foreman or more senior electrician. Assists in mounting and strapping conduit. Assists more senior personnel in electrical installations, connections, and terminations under close supervision. Performs other project related duties and assignments as instructed by supervisor. An apprentice electrician will not work on energized circuits or equipment.
