What's involved in this role:
The Maintenance Electrician performs the installation and repair of complex electrical systems, conductors and associated materials in related projects. The position frequently oversees less experienced electricians, as well as trains apprentices in the trade. The Maintenance Electrician ensures that all work is performed to the highest standards and meet all safety requirements in the performance of the work.
Night Shift Sc: 6pm-6am, 2-2-3 schedule
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Maintain, inspect, and modify electrical equipment, technologies and processes.
Lead plant projects and act as point of contact for contractors as delegated by the maintenance manager.
Perform daily preventive maintenance of electrical circuits.
Install new electrical circuits.
Bend and install electrical conduit following all appropriate local and national codes.
Troubleshoot electrical circuits, motors and equipment controls.
Help plant production personnel troubleshoot electrical-related production problems.
Maintain a safe work environment.
Understand and comply with NEC electrical standards and codes.
Ability to read blueprints and electrical drawings and install as specified.
Provide coverage for maintenance manager when on vacation or otherwise unavailable.

**CLIMATE CONTROLLED ENVIRONMENT**
The salary range for this role at the noted RRD location is $28.00 - $42.00 / hour. Starting pay decisions are determined based on multiple factors including but not limited to relevant education, qualifications, skills, experience, certifications, proficiency, performance, shift, location, and other business needs. Typically, roles follow step progressions to a target rate or set increments over time. Principle Duties and Areas of Responsibility:
* Troubleshoot and repair any production machinery to ensure maximum machine uptime in support of production activities;
* Diagnose machine malfunctions and operating difficulties; make repairs or adjustments as needed;
* Repair machines and overhaul troublesome components and attachments to involve dismantling, inspection, machining or replacement of purchased parts;
* Diagnose alarms and repair breakdowns;
* Make parts or tools as required;
* Perform various activities relative to the installation and relocation of existing machines and equipment to involve dismantling, erection, leveling, fitting, and aligning operations;
* Perform maintenance on the building, facilities and the grounds;
* Assist to determine the nature and scope of projects and the requirements for completion;
* Perform preventive maintenance on production equipment and machinery; perform preventive maintenance on heating, ventilation and air conditioning units;
* Develop and maintain required maintenance logs and files;
* Submit requests for additional parts and supplies;
* Follow all clean up and housekeeping procedures; comply with all quality, safety, and sanitation regulations.
* Other tasks as assigned.

ROLE OVERVIEW
To service and support manufacturing operations in the form of maximizing production output via expedient machine repair, procurement of repair parts, preventive maintenance, safety and maintaining building systems. You will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems and equipment in an industrial setting. You will work closely with other team members to ensure the safe and efficient operation of our facilities.
COMPENSATION
$34-$42/hour based on skill set with $1.20 night shift premiums and 1.5x pay on Sundays for the 2-2-3 schedule!

WHAT YOU GET TO DO
Acts as a safety leader and puts safety first in all responsibilities.
Performs necessary repairs on equipment
Troubleshoot and diagnose electrical issues.
Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems, components, and equipment.
Perform routine maintenance and inspections.
Creates and understands the work order process using SAP.
Problem solves issues concerning equipment operation and manufacturing processes where these relate to maximizing output.
Involvement in developmental project work including working with R&D, manufacturing and outside equipment and parts vendors.
Functions as part of the technical resources for the on-site staff.
Knowledge of procedures, work instructions and associated forms as required by the Key Area Leader.
WHAT WE VALUE

Troubleshoot PLC's. (Allen Bradley 500 and 5000 software)
Must be able to wire up to 480 volt systems for Industrial machinery.

Minimum of 2 years of experience as an Industrial Electrician or equivalent experience.
Valid electrician's license or certification preferred.
Strong knowledge of electrical systems, components, and equipment.
PLC troubleshooting experience.
Previous experience in an industrial setting working with machine processes, schedules and a variety of individuals involved in the manufacturing environment necessary.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.

What is the job?
You will be completing preventative maintenance on a variety of equipment within the Foundry.
You will troubleshoot problems as they arise throughout the workday and complete long-term projects throughout the organization.
You will maintain and repair existing electrical infrastructure using drawings and blueprints.
You will participate in continuous improvement activities.
Operate in response to requests from the Facilities Manager and/or Maintenance Supervisor and set priorities as required to maximize equipment runtime.
In this position, you will troubleshoot and ensure machine uptime on overhead cranes, sand mixers, conveyors and other foundry equipment.
