Inspects existing electrical systems and components on a preventative and as-needed basis to ensure conformance with applicable codes. * Works with the primary distribution systems for both repair and maintenance, and in support of power company outages. * Provides emergency response service for all facilities. * Estimates labor and material requirements. Orders and maintains equipment and supplies. * Supports and provides assistance to instrumentation, engineering and other maintenance technicians in their respective design, maintenance and repair duties. * Responsible for observing all applicable safety requirements and reporting immediately any unsafe practices/conditions. * Carries out other duties as assigned. An Electrical Control Technician at Encore Wire will be primarily responsible for the safe rectification of machinery and equipment used in the various production plants and throughout the facility as directed by Supervision or Company dictated equipment priority.
