What you will do:

Work with vendors to identify needed parts and recommend to Supervisor
Understand and update instrumentation loop diagrams, E & I drawings, blueprints and schematics
Program AC & DC variable speed drivers
Update power distribution system, MCC and switch gears
Install electrical equipment
What you need to be successful:
High School Diploma or GED
Detailed and accuracy oriented
Understanding of AC and DC control circuits
Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and wiring diagrams; have knowledge of 3 phase motor circuits, MCC's, power distribution and lighting circuits
Ability to work outdoors in all temperatures in loud, high volume environments performing physical tasks throughout the shift
Ability to perform the essential functions of the position which includes walking, standing, sitting, climbing stairs, bending and lifting-up to 50 pounds, climbing ladders, work in elevated work areas and tight close spaces
Pass a basic written, oral and or visual electrical exam

What you will do:
* Maintains electrical systems and equipment (such as switchgear, motors, generators, pumps, fans, & and 115KV sub-yards).
* Maintains DC electrical systems and equipment (such as batteries, chargers, rectifiers and inverters).
* Maintains station and unit level electrical control systems and their components (such as PLCs, HMIs and control networks).
* Maintains station and unit level electrical control system end devices (such as motor controls, pressure transmitters, pressure switches, temperature sensors, limit switches, solenoids and actuators).
* Maintains safety systems and their components (such as ESD panels, gas detectors, flame detectors and manual activation switches).
* On occasion, can direct other qualified employees in the performance of routine electrical controls-related activities.
* Work with significant independence on standard assignments.
* Demonstrate a detailed understanding of Enbridge Safety Policies and Procedures and act in accordance with them at all times.
* Participate in design reviews with the ability to decipher diagrammatic/one-line drawings
* Ensure that all pertinent records are accurate, current and that preventative maintenance schedules are timely.
* Serve as a backup E/C Maintenance Tech at other locations on an as needed basis
* Assessing and ensuring situations are safe to perform the work required and the most effective way of carrying out the work.
* Ability to trouble shoot issues related to electrical and control systems.
* Recognizes and reacts to abnormal conditions associated with duties.
Who you are:
You have the following education and/or experience:
* Valid Commercial Driver's License.
* High school diploma or equivalent. Electrical/Controls, Electrical Engineering or Controls Technology, Electronics Technology, or a related field or equivalent education and/or experience.
* Minimal directly relevant experience (electrical/instrumentation experience in an industrial type setting)
* Competent in NFPE 70E Code & Arc Flash Safety
* You reside or are willing to reside within 30 miles of assigned location
* Must be willing to work overtime, weekends, be on call and standby, and travel overnight as required
Desired Qualifications:
* Possesses the desire to learn and advance, as an Electrical Controls Technician.
* Associate's Degree in a relevant technical field.
* Working knowledge of operations used in the maintenance of these facilities.
* Strong mechanical aptitude.
* Experience in Natural Gas or industrial processes.

ESSENTIAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:
1. Work safely and in accordance with facility safety guidelines and procedures.
2. Work directly with and provide daily process support to the Operations Team and HPOT teams.
3. Provide technical support for troubleshooting equipment and process related issues as well as continuous
improvement of converting processes and equipment. This includes, but is not limited to plant electrical
distribution systems, equipment or process control systems, electrical circuits, motors and drives.
4. Facilitate the procurement and or development of equipment and process documentation necessary to support
the manufacturing operations.
5. Troubleshoot equipment problems and determine causes in order to implement necessary repair up to and
including program modification.
6. Modifies existing logic and writing as projects mandate.
7. Responsible for tuning modifying and installing new manufacturing equipment.
8. Must be flexible in work schedule to support equipment downs or to provide backup shift coverage support on
an as needed basis.

platform. Must understand the basics of PLC ladder logic, HMI and Vision system programming. Knowledge of robotic
programming, 24VDC systems and the ability to make minor modifications to control systems (timers, counters, constants,
etc.) preferred.
PHYSICAL AND MENTAL REQUIREMENTS:

2. Occasional lifting up to 50 lbs.

Essential Duties:
Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems and equipment in a timely and efficient manner.
Ensure that all electrical work complies with local and national codes and regulations.

Install and maintain lighting systems, including emergency lighting and lighting control systems.
Coordinate with contractors and other team members to complete projects on time and within budget.

Required Qualifications:

Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with electric motors and VFD/VSD
Knowledge Skills and Abilities:

Understanding of electrical theory, circuits, and wiring methods.
Physical Demands/Work Environment:
The position requires the ability to lift, carry, push, and pull heavy materials and
objects weighing up to 50 pounds, or heavier weights with the use of proper
equipment. Must be able to work during different weather climates; to include
hot/cold weather, rain, etc. Must possess mobility to work in and around
different buildings and facilities, to operate a motor vehicle and drive on surface
streets; strength, to work in confined spaces and around machines, to climb and
descend ladders, and to operate varied hand and power tools and equipment;
