We are currently seeking Manufacturing Electrician for 1st shift opportunity within our Bridgeport Fittings facilities located in Stratford, CT. This position also offers a $500 sign on bonus.
Responsibilities:
Lay out, install, and repair all types of electrical equipment such as high-tension switchboards and automatic controls.
Perform all types of plant wiring including the maintenance of signal telephone or loudspeaker systems.
Install and repair relay and ordinary lighting circuit jobs, push button controls, switches, cord sets, etc.
Must have knowledge of motors and industrial electronics.
Prevent breakdown of systems by routinely inspecting.
Perform effective troubleshooting to identify hazards or malfunctions for all electrically controlled equipment.
Recommend and order spare parts and equipment.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum of 5 years verifiable experience working as an electrician. Industrial experience a plus.
Must have verifiable, formal training in electrical theory and safety. Certificate showing completion of state of Connecticut or other apprenticeship program preferred.
E-2 not mandatory, but a plus.
Knowledge of PLC programming, troubleshooting, and repair necessary. Rockwell Automation SLCS00 a plus.
Understanding of industrial motor control, AC/DC, including invertor drives, holding circuits, and overload protection.
Capable of troubleshooting, repairing, installing, and wiring of basic electrical components such as relays, starters, motors, drives, and switches.
Able to read and understand electrical diagrams and schematics.
Use of common electrical tools such as multi-meters, strippers/crimpers, EMT benders, and threaders.
Able to mechanically disassemble and assemble basic machine components with common hand tools.
Must be safety conscious, organized, neat, and able to work alone or as a team member.

Associate's degree in maintenance or equivalent from two-year college or equivalent combination of education and experience. Bachelor's degree is preferred.

About the Role
We're looking for our first Licensed Electrician to join our team and help launch our new electrical services offering. In this full-time role, you'll handle installations, repairs, and maintenance of electrical systems and equipment for residential and light commercial customers. You'll report directly to our General Manager and have the opportunity to help shape and grow the department.
What You'll Do
Perform safe, code-compliant electrical installations, repairs, and maintenance
Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical systems and equipment
Wire and rewire residential and light commercial structures
Communicate clearly with customers and provide professional, friendly service
Attend training, team meetings, and company events
Contribute to building and mentoring a future team of electricians
What We're Looking For
Active E2 License in Connecticut
Strong knowledge of electrical systems, components, and installation practices
Excellent troubleshooting, organization, and attention to detail
Clear written and verbal communication skills
Valid driver's license
Experience with ServiceTitan (preferred but not required)
Excitement about growth opportunities and potentially leading others
Working Conditions & Physical Demands
Prioritize safety and have a working knowledge of OSHA standards
Ability to sit, stand, walk, bend, climb ladders, and work in hot, cold, or confined spaces
