ATI is seeking an Electrical Maintenance Technician/ Industrial Electrician to join ATI's Forged Products team in Cudahy, Wisconsin in the Greater Milwaukee Area. In this position, your primary responsibility will be to troubleshoot, maintain, test and repair electrically powered or controlled electrical, mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic machines, systems and components. The Electrical Maintenance Technician/ Industrial Electrician is part of a highly skilled team that is critical to ensuring equipment is operational in order to consistently meet our customers' needs. After spending 180 days training and learning our equipment and systems, a successful Electrical Maintenance Technician/ Industrial Electrician may become a specialist in one area of the facility. As part of the union environment, the shift will be determined. As union seniority is gained, there may be opportunity to bid onto other shifts. In order to ensure proper maintenance support, you may be asked to provide weekend on-site production support on a rotating schedule. Overtime work is not mandatory but can be accepted or refused by the Electrical Maintenance Technician/ Industrial Electrician. The initial approximately six-month training period for this position will be spent primarily on first shift but will include second and third shift.

Essential Functions:

• Lay out and install complex wiring circuits in conformance to established codes.
• Diagnose and remedy electrical troubles, repair and replace electrical components.
• Read and interpret equipment manuals to perform required maintenance and service.
• Diagnose problems, repair or replace equipment, components, wiring, or circuitry.
• Provide emergency repairs to production equipment.
• Work from wiring diagrams, schematic drawings, PLC logic, CNC programs, and electrical code book; use all required electrical measuring and testing devices.

Our Gastonia Converting Operation has an opening for an experienced Industrial Electrician with a minimum 5+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment. While reporting to the Plant Engineer, the Electrician is responsible for achieving a high level of reliability for plant equipment through performing tasks required to maintain equipment and minimize downtime. This individual will use their training and knowledge to perform equipment/process/system maintenance, troubleshoot equipment, make repairs and identify opportunities for improvement. The successful candidate must have a “get it done” attitude and an urgency to resolve problems/tasks in a safe and efficient manner.
Essential duties include, but are not limited to:
Understands and follows safety policies and procedures. Performs all tasks safely and does not take risks. Additionally, identifies safety risks and works to reduce them.Must be able to pass Category 2 electrical safe work practices standards and utilize safe work practices and PPESupplies and maintains their own tools.Documents and performs preventative/predictive maintenance tasks to eliminate equipment breakdowns and failures.Creates, and document work completed using C-works.Communicates effectively with operations personnel to identify and resolve abnormal/degraded equipment conditions that could negatively impact safety, quality or productivity.Installs, troubleshoots, tests, repairs and maintains equipment and machinery used in the Gastonia Converting Operation for the manufacturing of tubes and cones and related products.Must have exceptional skills in the areas of electricity, electric components, variable-speed drives, and PLC's.Installs/troubleshoots/repairs AC and DC drives/motors Able to install and repair building electrical components such as lighting Able to install power to any new manufacturing equipment Rebuilds various parts/equipment Experience in machine shop equipment such as lathes, drills, milling machines and welding is also a plus.

This position requires the ability to work with limited direction from supervision as well as good oral and written communication and computer skills. Must have or be able to qualify for a fork truck license. Primarily 1st shift, but must be willing to work off shift as needed. Candidate must also be willing to work overtime, including weekends.

Key Responsibilities

Ensures reliability of machinery and equipment by completing preventive maintenance on machinery and systems.Performs tasks including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, PLC, pneumatic and hydraulic troubleshooting and repair of equipment.Reads and interprets equipment manuals, diagrams, sketches, engineering specifications, and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.Uses hand tools and measuring instruments to determine changes in dimensional requirements of parts.Assembles, installs, adjusts, and calibrates mechanical and electrical machinery and equipment. Dismantles, repairs, rebuilds, and replaces equipment and parts as needed. Adheres to all plant safety policies. Participates in plant-wide safety, housekeeping, Operational Excellence, and Lean Manufacturing programs.Provides assistance and guidance to junior maintenance colleagues.Performs other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience

Typically possesses a high school diploma (or equivalent) or technical training and 2-3 years of relevant experience.

Knowledge and Skills
