About the Role The Automation Systems Electrician will be responsible for preparing and organizing machine wiring and panels from electrical schematics to supply all necessary power for machine builds. Identify placement of components and work with engineering to develop a layout for the system that is functional, enables an efficient build cycle and is esthetically pleasing. RESPONSIBILITIES Review layouts and schematics provided by engineering and discuss changes where improvements can be made. Develop a plan for cable management including power source, physical wire location through the cell and cable trays required. Mount electrical panels for the system and build the layout of the cell. Identify and decide the number and types of electrical components required to power the system. Assist during electrical inspections of machines by explaining core machine functions, voltage and certifications of equipment. Carry out diagnosis and correct or replace malfunctioning components. Inspect electrical systems to identify hazards, defects and the need for adjustment or repair. Maintain compliance with safety procedure and codes; inform management of unsafe practices or hazards identified; maintain clean and orderly work areas. Mentor new and apprentice electricians. Recognize priority tasks and delegate accordingly. Organize and develop a plan for offsite installations. Provide technical assistance to the design engineer responsible for machines regarding, but not limited to; machine safety, machine function, machine fit and finish, ergonomics, material handling, runoffs and machine verifications. Attend and participate in design reviews for assigned projects to analyze designs and identify areas of improvement to increase accuracy and efficiency. Continually communicate with project management team to discuss outstanding deliveries, status of project and areas of project risk and need. Direct contractors while onsite and ensure safety standards are adhered to. Ensure Stage Plan responsibilities are understood and met as well as signed off. Custodial ensures the cleanliness and sanitation of facility restrooms, offices, and breakrooms. In addition, Custodial provides prompt spill cleanup to reduce slips and falls. The Maintenance & Custodial Lead will be responsible for overseeing and assisting the positions within the department with their everyday tasks, including maintenance associates and custodial associates. Train maintenance associates on repair and preventative maintenance routines Train custodial associates on housekeeping routines Communicate Maintenance & Custodial goals to associates Ensure associates follow safety protocols and adhere to standard operating procedures Assist the Maintenance & Custodial Supervisor with day-to-day needs Replenish supplies Ensure effective teammate relations Identify safety hazards in the workplace Maintain the condition of all material handling equipment owned by ReturnPro including forklifts, reach trucks and waves Maintain all automated and manual processing equipment including shrink wrap machines, conveyors, and storage racks improving efficiency where practical Ensure equipment within the facility does not present a danger to the health or safety of teammates Maintain complete records of inspections and work completed Ensure all fire extinguishers, fire exit doors, and emergency lighting are functioning properly and meet all regulatory codes Design, implement and maintain a preventive maintenance Maintain sufficient inventory of parts and necessary supplies Clean designated building areas (dusting, sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, restroom cleaning etc.) Clean windows and mirrors Clean and supply restrooms Remove waste and empty trash Maintain cleaning chart indicating areas that were cleaned and inspected Replenish cleaning and maintenance supplies Organize janitorial storage areas Notify supervisors about unsafe conditions or concerning the need for repairs or maintenance Qualifications A high school qualification or equivalent Basic knowledge and skills in electrical, electronics, mechanics, plumbing and carpentry Experience in operating bench and portable power tools A clean safety record and working knowledge of workplace safety Experience in manufacturing would be advantageous Knowledge of health and safety laws Forklift certification required Excellent knowledge of equipment used in the manufacturing process Frequently required to walk, bend, use hands, and reach with hands and arms Possible weekend work and overtime required (including potential overnight shifts) Ability to frequently and repetitively lift, push, and carry up to 35 lbs.
