Function as a Journeyman for Bergelectric Corp.; installing new electrical systems and repairing existing electrical systems while maintaining compliance with national, state and local electrical codes along with all Bergelectric Corp. policies and procedures. Support activities at commercial, industrial, institutional and residential locations. This is considered to be a safety sensitive position. Responsibilities Install, repair, maintain, and test commercial, industrial and residential electrical systems in full support of Bergelectric Corp. safety, operations and productivity initiatives. Use industry related hand tools and power tools. Measure, cut, bend, thread, etc. and install wire and electrical cable systems, conduit systems and other wire raceway systems. Feed to, pull into, and terminate wire and cable within control centers, distribution boxes, transformers, transducers, switch gear, receptacles, switches, etc. Splice and terminate wires at junction points. Troubleshoot equipment electrical systems and control circuits and build control panels from drawings. Prepare sketches and schematic diagrams showing the location of wiring and electrical systems. Delegate tasks and assist with training other employees. Communicate effectively with Foremen and crew members. Maintain workflow schedule to ensure all Bergelectric Corp. productivity objectives are met. Demonstrate the highest level of professionalism and courtesy when interacting with colleagues, customers and vendors. Adhere to all Bergelectric Corp.'s safety policies and procedures. Qualifications Must hold a current Journeyman Wireman license (if required by the applicable state, city or county). Ability to install power systems: lighting, fire protection, security, and data network. Ability to build and install control panels and provide maintenance to systems. Experience using Electrical Single Line blueprints. Experience finding and repairing faults in electrical apparatus and circuits. Ability to verify compliance and functionality of installations. Experience helping with the management of a project and crew. Ability to manage material estimates. Demonstrate strong leadership and pre-planning abilities. Physical Demands Lift 50 lbs. from the ground and pull 50 lbs. of force. Perform ladder climbing, wire pulling and conduit bending. Fully squat, stoop or kneel while wearing a 25 lbs. tool belt. Maintain a standing position for long periods of time while performing repetitive actions such as grasping or manipulating wires. Work off of ladders, man lifts or reach booms. Working Environment A variety of weather conditions including cold, snow, rain, heat, etc. High noise levels. What the Role Involves: As a Journeyman Electrician, you'll be responsible for installing and servicing high-voltage electrical power and circuits in supermarkets, convenience stores, and food service establishments. Perform duties as a team technician for the installation and service of commercial electrical systems. Document and install conduits that are necessary to facilitate refrigeration and building energy management conversions and upgrades, along with refrigeration high voltage electrical systems. Work with systems involving control voltage signals and power devices ranging from 2-480 VAC. Read, understand, and interpret electrical blueprints and ladder logic type diagrams. Execute plans of electrical wiring for well-functioning lighting, intercom and other electrical systems. Install electrical apparatus, fixtures, and equipment for alarm and other systems. Install safety and distribution components related to electrical circuits. Connect wiring in electrical circuits and networks, ensuring compatibility of components. Prepare and assemble conduits and connect wiring through them. Perform effective troubleshooting to identify hazards or malfunctions and repair or substitute damaged electrical circuits. Job Summary: The Tooling Electrician III is responsible for inventorying, inspecting, testing, and timely completion of generator toolkits required for site project requests. Updates project schedules as appropriate when toolkits are complete and have passed inspection. Essential Duties & Responsibilities: * Maintain housekeeping of warehouse to meet safety standards and follow all safety guidelines * Perform visual, electrical, mechanical, electronic inspection of tools, report and flag any non-compliant items * Test all generator components on large electrical equipment * Troubleshoot and repair damaged electrical components and equipment as well as preventative maintenance * Read line drawings for repair and troubleshooting activities and electrical codes * Follow Standard Maintenance Protocols, tasks and adhere to site safety, quality, company, and government requirements * Repair and maintain test and industrial equipment and perform quality hand solder repair to the board or component level * Willingness to be on call for emergency equipment troubleshooting * Maintain inventory of supplies and ensure that each generator toolkit has the proper tools needed. * Coordinate, label, and package all generator tooling needed for each outage project. * Quality assurance check each kit before shipping to make sure there is a kit template and a calibration certificate enclosed if necessary. * Timely completion of kit assembly to meet tool center schedule requirements * Ensure that kits are delivered with no quality issues (missing parts or non-working parts). * Review inventory of tools returned from site to ensure all items are accounted for as outlined in inventory sheets * Clean, reorganize, and relabel all returned toolkits * Create and submit restock requests for replacement parts and tools. * Complete required, annual safety training * Ability and willingness to work holidays, weekends and overtime as required by field assignments * Travel may be required * May be assigned other duties to help proactively drive our FieldCore vision and align with our organization's core values. Compensation and Benefits: The hourly wage range for this position is $26.20 to $43.22. Employees may be eligible for overtime.
