POSITION PURPOSE/MISSION:
In the electrical maintenance role you will Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair all electrical systems of the plant in accordance with codes, regulations, and specifications, ensuring minimum down time of the plant operations, in accordance with company policies and procedures. Support maximizing facility uptime through execution of rolling equipment setups.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Constant standing.
Frequent lifting up to 10 lbs.
Occasional carrying, lifting to 60 lbs, hand use, pushing/pulling, reaching, sitting, below waist level work, complex neck/spinal motion, and walking.
Minimal climbing, foot use, and lifting up to 120 lbs.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
High School Diploma or GED.
Accredited maintenance apprenticeship or two years technical training with two plus years' industrial electrician experience.
Five plus years' industrial electrician experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
Demonstrated ability to read and interpret documents such as wiring diagrams, schematic drawings, instructions, safety rules, code books, and specifications.
Demonstrated ability to inspect electrical systems, equipment, and machines for possible problems.
Knowledge of medium voltage power distribution systems.
Knowledge of drives, controls, motion controllers, PLCs, and/or motors.
Understanding of national electric code (NEC) and NFPA-70E.
Ability to operate mobile equipment such as forklifts, overhead traveling cranes, and aerial lift platforms in a safe and professional manner.
Ability to use math skills including fractions, percentages, geometry, and probability.
Ability to read and understand technical procedures

Advanced knowledge of Proportional Integral Derivative (PID) troubleshooting experience.

MAJOR ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Perform advanced problem solving by identifying, troubleshooting, and correcting electrical issues.
Perform a wide variety of installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting work to keep production and support equipment in operating condition.
Act as subject matter expert for electrical systems.
Analyze test results, machine error messages, and information obtained from operators to diagnose and repair.
May perform ARC flash program.
Layout control panels using schematics and I/O mapping.
Perform a wide variety of electrical installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting work to keep production and support equipment in operating conditions.
Plan, layout, and install complex wiring circuits and distribution centers in conformance with established electrical codes; plan, measure, bend, and fir conduit.
Install and troubleshoot motor control centers, power distribution panels, lighting panels, and controls on plant equipment such as bar pulling machines, cut off equipment, centerless grinders, trepanning lathes, dust collectors, melting and holding furnaces, and other similar types of equipment.
Repair, replace, and connect single or three-phase motors AC or DC, on all types of production and support equipment.
Maintain and replace starter, contactors, relays, timers, limit switches, and counters.
Use material handling equipment when performing certain electrical maintenance work; operate a forklift truck for transporting equipment and lifting employees; use specialized power equipment for pulling cable and wire.
Use multimeters and other test instruments when troubleshooting electrical circuits; interpret resistance, voltage and amperage readings to arrive at the solution to electrical problems; use instrumentation built into equipment to diagnose certain malfunctions.
Proceed independently when installing or troubleshooting electrical equipment; obtain needed information form wiring diagrams, schematic drawings, and code books.
Follow all plant safety rules; including lock out of all plant equipment so that it is safe to work on; use safety equipment appropriate for the job; be aware of the safety of others.
Follow Environmental, Quality and Safety Management System procedures and requirements.

1. Complete scheduled preventive and corrective work orders and check with the Facility Supervisor and the Electrical Supervisor to prioritize the daily work.
2. Maintain and repair all installed electrical/electronic equipment including motors, controllers, generators, variable frequency drives, processing equipment, metering, monitoring and controlling devices, HVAC, lighting, security, communications systems, and external PLC circuitry.
3. Maintain, repair and/or install hydraulic and pneumatic control systems.
4. Troubleshoot, analyze, test equipment to diagnose the nature of the equipment malfunction. Perform necessary repairs, test and restore to operation.
5. Perform preventive maintenance, including checking fluid levels, drive belts and brushes. Test equipment for proper operation, cleaning slip rings and Eddy Current couplings and do thermal testing of contacts, bus bars and other electrical connections.
6. Install new equipment, conduit, wiring and connection boxes. Determine the parts required for proper installation and obtain them. Make electrical connections and test for proper operation.
7. Operate electrical power distribution system, including the emergency generators and 4160-volt switchgear. Parallel the 4160-volt generators with supplied power to test generator operation.
8. Modify and rewire installed electrical systems in accordance with engineering work orders and documents. Update existing drawings as required.
9. Design and build special test fixtures as needed.
10. Respond to emergency calls on a 24-hour basis. Maintain contact with the plants via phone during off-hours. On-call is required.
11. Perform other duties in a safe manner as assigned by immediate supervisor or other supervisors

Proficient in reading ladder diagrams and be able to troubleshoot PLC machines without the aid of a computer
Trouble shoot, repair and replace faulty electrical components through the use of hand tools and electrical test equipment
Measure, cut and bend conduit such as rigid EMT, PVC, and IMC utilizing hand tools and benders
Be able to Set up and troubleshoot drives, showing understanding and ability to change settings
Troubleshoot PLC on line
Understand the Hydraulic, pneumatic and vacuum system concepts
Experience with Microsoft Office

Industrial maintenance/mechanic electrician will perform routine preventive maintenance and repair of machines.
Troubleshoot emergency maintenance on machines as necessary to support plant operations.
Troubleshoot industrial, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic and mechanical failures
Reads, manages and performs work orders of required maintenance services.
**The Skills You Will Bring:**
3+ years in industrial manufacturing
PLC troubleshooting, inputs/outputs, and changeouts of programs
Experience with Factory Talk or similar HMI software
Photo eyes, sensors, limit switches, and solenoids
Repairing and troubleshooting conveyor systems (line controls)
Mechanical Systems (bearings, chains, sprockets, gearboxes)
Hydraulics & Pneumatics
High and Low Voltage
Ability to operate a multimeter to diagnose a variety of electrical issues
Occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
Frequently required to stand; walk; use hands to handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and talk or hear.

Diagnose and repair electrical wiring, sensors, and instrumentation.
Support automation upgrades, commissioning, and continuous improvement.

What You'll Need
2+ years in industrial automation, controls, or electrical systems.
PLC programming/troubleshooting (Allen-Bradley preferred).
Experience with instrumentation, schematics, and motion control.
Strong safety focus and teamwork mindset.
Bonus: Experience with Beckhoff, Fanuc, or vision systems.
